Actually, I'm pretty numbed to all the bad news about the economy. It's always the same news to me such as GDP contraction, retrenchment, recession, unemployment rate goes up and so on.

Blogging at moneytalk.sg on the stock market, ETF and anything to do with money.

Personally I think ShareJunky has an EXCELLENT point. This is a Global crisis, not Asian crisis.

Think the worst is over ? You may be in for a nasty surprise as the consequences start to appear in 1st, 2nd quarter 09...by 3rd quarter i think many people would be numb to all the bad news that hit them left right center and in front (ouch).

Sorry to dump cold water....but I have a very strong sixth sense, which usually turns out right , though I hope to be wrong this time.

Ya but all these damages are already realised. And results in the STI figure now. I also thought that STI will only go up.

Yes, last time it was an ASIAN crisis.

But this time, it's GLOBAL.......  every world's major economy is whacked hard....

In particular USA,  world's No:1 consumer is now on diet.. (less jobs =   less money ) so they are now buying less..  so importing less  from S'pore , China ...  etc........

In spite of the spate of bad economic news locally and in US, the blue chips are charging ahead for the past few days. The doom slayers are saying it is a bear trap. But this was what happened during the last Asian financial crisis bottom, when the market started to pick up day after day and by the time you know it, you had already missed the boat. It's a bigger boat this time. Can you afford to miss it ????

Ha ha ... think the one who is disoriented in current market should be investors around rather than the BULL {optimism} or  the BEAR {pessimism} - the devil controlling our sentiments.

Bear is laying a trap for the bull???

Even the bears are wildly disoriented in this crazy market.

They should be heading South ....

i guess those vested now need this --->

Guard Alask bear repellent

available at all leading department stores.. well cheer up for those who r vested.. life still goes on.. money isnt everything.. wat lost can still b make back as long as u r still in the game. wealth accumulation is a long-haul game but sad to say most ppl wan to take short cut and take bet with it.. but anyway dun be so upset and tomorrow will be a better day. cheers..

i slowly liquidated all my holdings since mar 2008 on rallies.. i still remembered alot of my friends r laughing at me saying that i m missing out the uptrends.. true i might missed out some of the uptrend trend but then i dun take unnecessary risks. anyway market will tell who is right or wrong.
