Hi all, Chuan Hup is the first stock..

EPS for 2007 (estimate) = US$0.03

P/E=7.3 times

NAV( based on 2nd quarter results ) = US$0.2692

Net Cash per share= US$0.2361 comprising cash and bank balances(US$0.0341), held for trading investment(US$0.0019), land held for development(US$0.0079), available for sale investment(US$0.1949).

This is a cash-rich company. Current dividend yield is about 3% so got spare cash in bank can consider put here.  Land held for development consists of 2 plots of proposed residential apartment towers in Australia, scheduled to complete by 2008.

Terence, I admire you for starting early in investing. In today's world, especially here in S'pore, we have to make our money work hard for us, not we work hard for the money. How I wish I had started much earlier in my life.

My only adive to you is; invest wisely and within your means.

Good Luck in upcoming posting results. Hope you get the Poly & Course you applied for.

Happy investing. Cheers

Stock market books are best accumulated in one's own library. So even if one doesn't have the time for thorough reads, one can still treat them as a ready reference source for selectiive reading whenever the opportunity arises.

fortunegal you this year 27 time to source for a hubby soon. A ger body once over 30 wanna give birth abit harder. Furthermore, doctor will recommend drawing some womb fluid to test for baby down syndrome etc illness.

So lady wanna give birth best before 30 cuz over 30 the risk is higher and you get weaker much faster unlike a ger in the age 20's. And once baby come out I doubt you got time to read stocks books hahaha... unless your baby look after by maid or grandparents :)

Happy CNY :)

sohguanh, after reading what you wrote, somehow thanks for your "reminder". :o) cos now that i am not marry n no kids, this will remind me again to read the stock book that i had recently bought. I am also in IT line, now the sharejunction.com is main reason for me to turn on the PC AGAIN at night after work to read through the postings.

That is very true... :)

I know what you mean... Nowadays we are really hard-pressed for time. I even have bought books which I hardly have time to really read... just occassionally briefly refer to certain parts... :)

Maybe I will read them all fully when I have someone to provide for me.

I don't go for stock related books for the simple reason my full time job as a software engineer requires me to be on constant upgrade on new IT programming, technologies etc etc. That alone is taking up a lot of my time. Coupled with my weekends are reserved for my baby daughter I seem not able to find the extra time. At nite time is spent watching tv programmes :P

So ShareJunction provides me a simple and effective way to get started. I admit my foundation on stock trading is not up to standard but I am learning by trend observation as I believe in stock trading, human emotions and behavoir can also dictate how the price moves for any given stock.

When it comes to the stock market, much knowledge is timeless. This is because human attributes are the same yesterday, today and 'forever'.

There's a whole vast repository of stock market knowledge to be found in books. Old stock market books are still relevant today as they were 50 years ago. This is because humans don't change, and the stock market only reflects the story of humans in society.

Thus, to be a well-rounded and 'knowledge-rich' investor, trader or punter, it should be a delight for one to start accumulating a library of stock market books when one is young.

Of course if one is already old and still hasn't started on books yet, one should quickly make up for lost time by doing so.. :)

The world now has changed. In the information age where knowledge is power, younger ppl can start early to learn as much too. For e.g. some take 10 yrs to become a millionaire, while some of the younger ppl take a few years to become a millionaire instead, but no matter what, the destination is the same. The same goes for investment, our destination is the same (make profit) regardless of age.

Terence, salute you for starting early to learn investing, all the best!

I only started last year, now 27 yrs old. hopefully when the time you reach my age, you would have make a lot of profit.

There is another forum on simon loh's postings, he's good, go read his postings n learn more.

Actually, in this day and age, it's absolutely pointless to harp back on the past.

Nowadays, genius is no more only found in people of older age, especially those with old belief systems. In fact, what has age got to do with it? Genius can just as easily be found in people who are considered 'kids' by people with 'dinosauric' attributes.

This is not to say that the old 'know nuts'. Rather, we should all recognise, respect and above all, learn from, not the young, but genius and truth if they represent such, regardless of age.

I believe with each passing year, we are moving towards a more enlightened and enlightening world, where previous 'boundaries' of knowledge and limitation just vanish into nothing. When history will be made by the young and the intelligent.

Terence, please allow me to join Vic in congratulating you too for a headstart.  As for me, I wish I could turn back the clock.  But having said that, in life, we must always look forward no use musing over the past.  What's done cannot be undone.  Cheers!

Hi all, I have started this topic with the intention to help everyone discover undervalued stocks. Hope it will help all of you. Do remember that it is my personal opinion only and pls think carefully before you buy any stocks. If my judgement is wrong, do correct me. Thanks.

Some of you might have known that I am probably the youngest trader/investor here, only 18 this year. And I have recently bought 2 stocks ( Asiatic, Karin ) both of which has given me great profits. So do keep watch for my postings.

God bless.
