All listed companies are valued by looking at their perpetual operations. With huge cash sitting in the bank means that there is no future investment where investors can see how much company will worth except the cash value itself. Cash by itself will not amplify share price but investment will.
Having no debt doesn't mean anything, this is the capital structure of a company not the perpetual operations of a company. There are company with huge debt but value at very high share price because of their business arena where the future is very rosy.
So with no debt and no investment, Japser share price will stay at this level until investment is made where the market could see the value of their perpetual operations.
All negative and positive comments are welcome.
Thank Terence.
buying asset or business will not adjust the NTA, its the profits or losses from the newly acquired business that will affect the NTA
As at the present FA, if the company makes an agreement to buy an asset/ or business hence the NAV and NTA will increase.
The company has (i think) $43m in cash and low liability currently.
Can any FA expert comment, please? Thank in advance.
With the exercise of the call option in respect of all the option shares, it may pave the way for a possible share consolidation. Just my thought.
By the way, AGM today at 9.30. Do ask as many logical questions as possible for those who are going, especially about the latest business developments. I won't be able to make it.
Cheers
bro, it's not 45c, it's 0.0045. You are missing one zero...that's big different. If it's 45c, i am smiling.......
by exercising 1750m share at 0.45 cents, does it mean Morton has a paper gain of 2.55 cents per share based on current price at 3 cents?
wow, that's good return!
wow! this make penny stock more exciting! burn! burn!
I think go both good and bad
Good as company has more cash for investments
Bad because of dilution effect.
Can explain? anyone,,good or bad?

The Company had, on 26 July 2005, announced that it had entered into a placement agreement dated 26 July 2005 (the ?Placement Agreement?) with Morton Bay (Holdings) Pte Ltd (the ?Placee?) whereby the Company will allot and issue 3,500,000,000 new ordinary shares in the capital of the Company (?Shares?) to the Placee at an issue price of S$0.0043 each (the ?Placement Issue?). The Placement Issue was completed on 15 September 2005.
It was also announced that in conjunction with the Placement Issue, the Company had granted a call option (the ?Call Option?) to the Placee to require the Company to allot and issue up to 1,750,000,000 new Shares (?Option Shares?) at an issue price of S$0.0045 each. The Call Option is exercisable at any time and from time to time during a period of two years from the date of completion of the Placement Issue.
The Company wishes to announce that it has received notice from the Placee that it is exercising the Call Option in respect of all of the Option Shares. Completion of the Call Option is expected to be effected on Friday, 3 August 2007 whereby against payment of S$7.875 million, the Company will allot and issue the Option Shares to the Placee.
The Option Shares, when issued and fully paid, shall be free from all claims, charges, liens and other encumbrances and shall rank pari passu in all respects with the then existing Shares, except for any dividends, distributions or entitlements the record date of which falls on or before the date of issue of the Option Shares.
The Placement Issue and the Call Option were (inter alia) approved by shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company held on 5 September 2005 (?EGM?). As stated in the Company?s circular to shareholders dated 19 August 2005 issued in relation to the EGM, the net proceeds from the Placement Issue and the Option Shares will be used for the acquisition of profitable or attractive businesses or companies by the Company and as working capital.
The Placee, which became a controlling shareholder of the Company as a result of the Placement Issue is currently interested in 3,500,000,000 Shares, representing approximately 44.7% of the present issued Shares.
Save for Mr Eddy Sariaatmadja, Mr Glenn Yusuf and Mr Geoffrey Yeoh who have interests in companies which are minority shareholders of the Placee, none of the Directors, as at the date of this Announcement, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Call Option. Save for the Placee and Asset Holder PCC No 2 Limited (an investment fund managed by Ashmore Investment Management Limited), which is a controlling shareholder of the Placee, the Directors are not aware of any controlling shareholders of the Company, as at the date of this Announcement, having any interest, direct or indirect, in the Call Option.

person123: a word of caution on jasper. after observing past few so called intense trading period, i believe whenever there is a spike in investor interest to take the price beyond 3 cents mass selling occurs. then later you see the bank is throwing them out in great batches to us. i believe previously jasper owe alot of monies to that bank so some debt payment could be in the form of shares. now as the number of shares is huge i dunno when that bank can finish sell them out to get back their monies. in the meantime at least for another 3 months the price should still trade within 3 cents!!!!!
i hope my observation is flawed else I cannot explain whenever great volume i see that bank major transaction of selling? whenever there are major transaction of buy/sell they are recorded and we investors can see. limtan got one such periodically updated document and also The Edge.
sohguanh and cyjjerry: thanks for the help! :)
i will continue to hold for long terms.
mkt sentiment quite bad for jasper. rumour on consolidation n so on...offloaded mine.the problem wif tiz stock is that you may get stucked n can onli sell at buy q...trade wif care...
Just unloaded mine entirely @ .03 cents. Have been holding on for too long.
different brokerage house have their own symbols...the one u seeing below is used by UOB Kayhian...while others like Lim & Tan Securities is more straightforward with their "Buy" and "Sell"
Me too.
thanks, all this while i have mistaken the meaning that B is BuyUp and S is SellDown.
person123: under column Buy/Sell there is a B or S. if it is a B it means someone sell down to the buyer at the buyer price. if it is a S it means someone buy up from the seller at the seller price. so if you see a lot of B it means a lot of ppl is selling down to ppl. if you see a lot of S it means a lot of ppl is buying up whoever is selling.
sorry am new to this, but based on your buy/sell table, how do you read it to know if each row is a buy or sell trade?
