? Expect UK market to stabilise over the next two years. Due to in-house
production capacity constraints, GEMS TV has been outsourcing the production of
more UK products, leading to higher production costs. Assuming the realignment of
the UK business goes well, sales should grow at low-to-mid-single digits, with gross
margins (ex-shipping) dropping to 37% in FY08 (from FY07?s 40%) before
improving to 40% in FY09.
? Larger US subscriber base. We value the company?s strong commitment to
expanding its US subscriber base, expected to reach 40m households by end-
2007. Assuming a penetration rate of 2.5%, customers should double by 1Q08.
This implies upside for the topline.
? Looking beyond FY08. We believe Gems TV will be able to address lingering
issues over the next few quarters. We are cautiously positive on the outlook for
FY09, as reflected in our below-consensus estimates. We expect sales to reach
US$439m (+33% yoy) and net profit, US$67m (+120% yoy) in FY09.
? Upgrade to Outperform from Neutral. Even though our FY08 EPS estimate has
been cut by 34% to US$0.03 on lower revenues, higher costs and tax rates, we
raise our target price to S$1.32 from S$1.25. Our new target is based on 15x CY09
P/E and 7x CY09 EV/EBITDA (previously 23x CY08 P/E and 12x CY08
EV/EBITDA). In comparison, if we apply 2008 valuations the target price for end-07
will be S$0.78 based on 17x CY08 P/E and 9x CY08 EV/EBITDA. The stock is
trading at 7x CY09 P/E and EV/EBITDA, while offering a FY07-09 EPS CAGR of
98% vs. peers? 23%.

suprising to see it shoot so damnz high todae~!
Still got long way to hit my TP at $0.98.

Please be careful of this stock. Personally, I have been losing a lot in this stock and I do hope those intend buying in this stock to study the fundamentals of the stock. Don't be ruled by your emotion especially it is up by 14.1% today. Beware!!!
The market is really strong now...
Up 10c is a huge up!...
Let's see if rebound is sustainable or false indication.....
Unforseen market ---Stock market.
Sold my stake....
Next, Inno precision is another good BUY!
You may not believe!! Let see....
yes ppl... you have been set up/ conned once... surely not a second time???..
ppl playing gems this morning, might consider running already. 72-73 is a good price to exit. small profit, yes, but better a confirmed small than a risky big (which might evaporate).
by techs i was expecting the upside to last only one day.
and c'mon lah. look at the timing of the brokerage reports to px movement. from the launch, to the high 1.8, to now. please don't tell me you still buy their 'stories'. this is obviously a toy counter. fundamentals of a company and fundamentals of a company's stock are two different things.
think live chicken, not dead tiger.
good luck!
ya rem just how many mths ago, they said that target price is ard1.8+
