Hot horse may back kick the bystanders or dislodge its rider when it rears its head.   When the bystanders and rider die, it's difficult to rein it in as it runs wild and spills its saddle of Swiber shares (which are too hot for its comfort). No direction by then as the survivors run for cover to avoid its "wild gallop" !  Any comments?

All the vessels of  Swiber have been tossing about in the sea aimlessly.  Guess the "vessels" have been "overladen"  after the "manipulators" have "overbought" or "bought too early" for the "celebration bang" (or "champagne popping") which is not to be.  Will they be "capsized" suddenly by a "tsunami" anytime soon?  Any comments from FA or TA point of view?

Tks a million for the pointer.  Will watch and cover up.  In shorting or contra long, sometimes win, sometimes lose.  Scalp or contra long the same share 20 trading days a month, can't lose all the 20 days - better than tying down $$$ long term in too many shares.  One may not live to see the uptrend (after a share has gone downtrend) in  the long term!!

In an uptrend, it may not be too advisable to do any shorting...

However if you only intend to scalp,  then it's perfectly okay.

Better to wait to buy at support than to short the bugger.

Who knows it may suddenly do a cheong thing, since this bugger is trending up.

Whole morning appeared limp, so short sold a fair bit in stages.  Shd cover up position after lunch or nearer closing time (usually weaker by then?).  Any advice?

Tks for Cashiertan and Nostradamus' pointers.  When a share attracts research coverage, it's time to say "good bye" to it.   Jump out of the vessels and swim ashore with one's money and one's dear life or risk being drowned! TA and FA experts, agree?

Let's see the "manipulators" crash land, and "die" or  "break their backs" very soon when  their parachutes (both the master and the spare piece) fail to open!  Good Luck to them!

Its net profit in the third quarter to September rose sharply to US$5.6 mln, thanks to growth in its offshore engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commission (EPCIC) businesses.

"To put the numbers in perspective, consider that our latest nine-month earnings of US$8.2 mln have already surpassed the earnings we achieved for the entire financial year 2005 of US$6.2 mln," said Swiber's founder and managing director Raymond Goh in a statement.

The group's focus for the rest of the financial year and in 2007 will be to execute the expansion plans the company outlined in its IPO, he added.

Swiber said it plans to set up an office in India by 2007, having identified India and Qatar as growth markets.

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we are confident that our full-year revenue and earnings will far surpass the previous year's," Goh added.

Hi kitty.

"They will have to dump the shares when the banks chase after them to pay up their short term margins, which should be very soon. "

very soon, like Monday?  Tuesday?

What surge?  It's the manipulators at work.  Let's see how long they can continue to support the shares before the banks make their margain cash calls.  Sorry, the market is cash strapped and placement holders had bought using short term margins. Don't be fooled into thinking that the shares will move much further north like a rocket and jump in to buy them. They will have to dump the shares when the banks chase after them to pay up their short term margins, which should be very soon.

Surged on talks that it may soon announce some contracts.

It's in an industry dominated by big players, mostly from the US. It enjoys a cost advantage over US competitors which have very high operating overheads.
