Hi elf & all those TA trader,

do u ppl stick to the monitor all day time, cos i find it veri difficult to trade w/o having access to the internet all the time, esp if u r not picking up the stock (meaning contra), thkq.

btw, allgreen shot up today, any news? This 10c rise quite unusual for allgreen, cos it is slow n steady.

hey all,

Allgreen: divested: 1.51.

note it might very well still go up, but enough for me alr. pls make own call. :)

awchyeong: don't sell chipengseng yet. still have some upside to go.

patseow8: you need to calculate your ave price per lot, and then decide what to do. not sure abt the rights subscription means you paid for them or they're the bonus?

Bunbun, thks for the advice. I'm fully aware that the decision, the 'best time' to let go is soley mine. Its just that I'm using pple like Elf's expertise to help me deicde. If she divest @ 1.53, i should be doing the same at abt the same price. Up 5-8 cts also take lah.....

dear ace6868, instead of taking the cue from elf, why don't you decide when's the 'best time' to let go and take profit? of cos we all like to earn big big and lose small small, but sometimes, you may not be able to sell off at that price even thou u may be on q since in the morning. elf has already indicated she's divesting at 1.53. so u may wish to see if you wish to do it before (like me - cos i faint hearted. scare cannot manage to sell off at 1.5++ within 7-days), at 1.53 (sama sama as elf) or >1.53.

u vested at 1.45. if it reaches 1.5 that's a 5cts up for you. not bad leh...

dear elf, im learning (hard) to control my greed so 10cts profit enuf for me liao. recent buying vols not high, wanna run off before my contra date is up :) u reaching your 1.53 TP not difficult 'coz there are bigger fishes out there who will push the price. small sized bunnies like moi running out should not affect you. kekeke

Elf,  thks. I think u r right. I will definitely let go before 29/1, but exactly when?...... will take cue from U. Pls keep us informed.... I hope this doesn't put too much pressure on your TA skills.

BTW, taking profits and running, is not cowardly, actually its smart...... live to fight another day.

Cheers

hahahaaaa. :P oh don't worry, like i said, cowards live longer. haha.

yeesh. i hope not a lot bought on my words alone man. stress... 0_0

but too much talk, no point. watch the trend and see. that's the best thing to do. :) ok, gotta go for dinner now. man, hate this weather. i'm one miserably frozen elf. sigh.

it's been a while since i logged in, and it seems like allgreen generated a lot of keen interest due to our dear elf. you vested = alot of forumeers also want a share of the pie :)

elf, i share your philosophy. but am running off earlier than $1.53. looks like im more cowardly than u :)

hi ace6868,

i'm a foremost proponent of the take-money-and-run-first-ask-questions-later school of thought. hehe.

yea, if you've read my previous posts here, i'm act looking to let go at abt 1.53. but it depends entirely on the trend. if AllG goes consistently up 2-5c a day, you can hold it til it naturally peaks since it means sentiment is bullish on this counter. (a lot of FA targets have been called for this counter). if it keeps lingering at this range tho, will havta watch for signs of change.

also, sudden sprints aren't reliable. So on my part, would rather cash out and keep profit safe than wait for it to wave down and up again.

and yes. i'm def going to let go before the 29th. it might go up aft that, but who knows now? tomorrow belongs to tomorrow, and hindsight is always perfect. what we only know is today. So take confirmed profit and run first better. cowards survive longer than heroes. haha. :P

Elf, based on your analysis, would it be fair to say that once the price crosses 1.5-1.55, it would be wiser to let go, ie before 29/1..... A case of bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush? I'm vested at 1.45

hey ahbear (ahhhh so cute! :P),

15th jan would be interesting to watch 'cos the dow closed higher on fri (and s'pore looks to the dow for leads); property's still bullish if you look at the sector, TA shows that vols went down fri but A/D and chaikin consistently up--all these are plus factors.

but that stacks up against the psychological factor of tomorrow being the last day for the rights to be chosen--meaning that tomorrow night will be when you know how much dilution of the main price there'll be. investors might get nervy.

15th's less impt than 29th jan tho. that's when the rights start trading as the main. Just doing a rough price estimate from the last closing of 1.82 before the XD, plus that $300, means the 'fair value' that the market perceives allgreen to be is between 1.21-1.53, dep on whether ppl chose the rights or the money. your AllG R500 is currently at 0.78, meaning the market perception is higher end--in the 1.50s range.

so if the motherstock somehow hits the 1.60 range, implies 29th it'll likely drop back to 'fair value'. If it's lower, it will most prob not go up tho.

note figures given are just rough estimates, and less to do with the fair value derived via FA but more the 'fair value' via market perception.
