agree. unless u are buying sti warrants, it is a good idea to take some calculated profit along the way.
While hoping it up and up, we must not loose sight of its potential to fall and fall..hence, trim holdings when profit target are met..there is always another wave..

Hi tanglinboy, it's not a time to yawn, zzzzz, it's time to pick up Good Stocks, come January 2007, when fund managers and traders come back from thier holidays, stocks will be up, up, and away.
During the quiet days you can take your time to pick and choose, during the busy days when peolpe are buying, and the prices goes up, that's when you start to sell and make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, that's my personal opinion only !!!!

Shorting is dangerous in a roaring bull market, even if you are Grissy Adam Bear... :)...
But when the Bear is seen to be riding the Bull naughtily, then shorting would be the order of the day. Of course by then it would become common sense that the best candidates for such shorting would be the sky-high counters.
