What is the meaning of consolidation sideways?
What should I do now as I bought at 1.83 and it has dropped to 1.76. :( Thanks for advice.

Market closed at 5.05pm with 3.4 million sold to buyer. First time sell to buyer this week. I anticipate tomorrow may go lower.... but who knows???

Genting Singapore (G13.SG) remains most active stock in market, off 1.1% at $1.78 with over 221 million shares traded, biggest volume so far this week, says Dow Jones.
Investors keen to book some gains after run-up by as much as 14.4% so far this week fuelled by hopes earnings momentum will remain strong in coming quarters after return to profitability in 2Q10. UOB KayHian, which has Hold call with $1.59 target, says its own checks show gaming activity at Resorts World Sentosa over July-August points to noticeably weaker 3Q10 vs 2Q10, with traffic in August affected by “hungry ghost” month.
Tips 3Q10 gaming EBITDA of under $350 million vs estimated $480 million in 2Q10. Adds near-term valuations stretched, with stock trading at 11.7x 2011 EV/EBITDA vs 11.3x for Las Vegas Sands, which operates many more casinos than Genting Singapore.

Singapore’s Straits Times Index gained 0.1% to 2,986.66 at close. Almost two stocks rose for each that fell on the 30-member gauge.
Shares on the measure trade at an average 14.5 times estimated earnings, compared with about 17.4 times at the beginning of the year, according to Bloomberg data. The following shares were among the most active in the market. DBS Group Holdings (DBS SP), Southeast Asia’s biggest lender, rose 0.3% to $14.12. Nomura Holdings Inc. upgraded the stock to “buy” from “neutral.” Ezra Holdings (EZRA SP), a provider of offshore logistics services to the oil and gas industry, climbed 3.6% to $1.74. UOB-Kay Hian Holdings maintained its “buy” rating and cut its share-price forecast to $2.17 from $2.50, saying the funds the company will raise by selling shares will help reduce debt. Neptune Orient Lines (NOL SP), the container carrier that gets more than half of revenue from the Americas, gained 0.5% to $1.95. Manufacturing data from the U.S.-based Institute for Supply Management rose to a three-month high of 56.3 in July. Readings greater than 50 signal growth, and the figure was projected to drop to 52.8, according to the median forecast of economists in a Bloomberg News survey. Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based commodities supplier, advanced 2.5% to $1.65. The Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks prices of 19 commodities from copper to corn, rose 1.6% in New York yesterday. |
