While it is good to establish presence in most of the retail mall in SG, I think 1 has to look at the cost structure as well.

Given the increasing rental, at times it does not make much monetary sense to open so many outlets to increase the expense or cost of sales whereas the sales are not moving. This will lead to dilution of margin. There is also an increase in competition which make it even more competitive in this industry...Having faith in the boss is one thing but the P&L reflect it all...

Actually integrity and management capability are my ultimate concerns as these attributes can then lead to substainable profits in the long run even if the company is in the red temporary. Smiley

I went to taka over the weekend to check out the OSIM sale. It seem like not many people are buying it. I bought 3 lots at 0.725. Thinking of selling it off.

Osim overextended and over-estimated itself. It is one of the worst performing companies recently. But when it get its act together again, I will definitely buy Osim because I believe in Mr. Ron Sim!

Maybe Brookestone is too BIG a venture for OSIM, disrupt it growth path. My personal opinion is that OSIM should focus on Asia whereby there is a big market itself.

I don't like Oto chairs.... look quite plastic and flimsy. Osim chairs look better.

But when I sit in the chairs, I can't tell any difference.... still feel the same shiok-ness....  hahahaha...

Certainly 1 shop cannot be a representation about all stores.  I've asked one, but observed many others.  Btw, I'm in the retail business, dissimilar but familiar with Osim's type of business, so such observations are usually not casual.

Health tablets? U mean GNC? And no offence but i think by asking 1 shop abt its sale is hard to represent all the shops so more research need to be done and they have other products to complement as well. But the fact is the bulk of the exp lies in shop rental and staffs and marketing exp as well
