To me, now is not the time to Buy or Short.

To Short, you should have shorted yesterday, now is a bit too late.

To Buy, you should want for the BBs to enter first, now is too early.

It guess it will not be free-falling.

At some point SIA will step in to clear up the mess.

Regretted, I didn't short this morning.

Was thinking of shorting, but after seeing the strong STI, changed my mind.

Stupid to let such a fat meat run passed my mouth.

in the short term until 9 July(Sat)...hmmm.....interesting....let's see how the market reacts tomorrow and the next.... just added this to watch list.....

Quote " Australia may extend Tiger Airways grounding AFP Sun, Jul 03, 2011   SYDNEY - Aviation regulators were discussing Sunday whether to seek court approval to extend the grounding of Tiger Airways Australia, as the airline vowed to fix its problems and get back in the air. Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) on Saturday suspended all the budget carrier's domestic services as they posed a " serious and imminent risk to air safety" . The decision - the first grounding of an entire fleet in Australian aviation history - followed a series of incidents that raised questions about its airworthiness................."

Tiger Air in bad shape.. Captain jump ship coz its gona crash land!!

Management sells shares, many will follow.

Analysts: K Ajith/Eugene Ng Tel: +65 6590 6627

What's new
Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis, sold 1,000,000 shares or 24.3% of his
holdings at S$1.42. This was below the issue price of S$1.50.

Stock Impact
Insider sales are never a positive but this is especially so if the
insider being the CEO, disposes of 24% of his current stake at below IPO
price. We reckon the cost of shares could be between S$0.08 and S$0.13
cents. This comes at a time, when Tiger Airways is:
facing difficulties in its planned JV with Thai Airways as the latter
has already indicated its plan to commence its own LCC operations.
(Tiger however has yet to make any official announcement regarding
the status of its JV)
facing hurdles in offering domestic Philippine routes on its
platform.
tough operating environment in Australia, which was loss-making in
the last quarter.

Recommendation
Except for a brief upgrade in March, we had been consistent sellers on
Tiger Airways since listing. The latest development lends further
confidence to our view. Our price target of S$1.32 is based on blue skies
scenario of high load factors (85.7%) and increasing ticket prices (+2.9% yoy).

TigerAir sells cheap tickets in Oz and spoilt the market. Time to kick this pussy cat out of Aussie's sky. With  this TigerAir out of Oz, other airlines  can sell 15-20% higher.

CIMB Squawk Box...

The endangered Tiger (TGR SP S$1.055)
What school is he in? This is always the ubiquitous ice-breaker whenever someone tries to chat me up when I have my boy in tow. Similarly, Tiger Airways Australian operations ban is a good reminder to market participants that there are those who hold on to Fundamental Analysis rigorously and those who are devotees of Technical Analysis. They both serve their purpose and if either were really superior, the other would have gone the way of the Dodo bird.

Bad kitty. Australian aviation regulator, CASA, has suspended Tiger Australia's operations for one week on alleged safety violations, which will cost Tiger S$2m/week in unrecoverable fixed costs. Our aviation analyst views this development negatively, as the suspension may be extended, and Tiger's reputation in Australia may take a beating.

Downgrade to TRADING SELL from Neutral. A favourable solution may eventually be reached. Tiger may either withdraw from Australia altogether to concentrate on Asia, or offer a leaner service in Australia post-suspension and focus only on profitable segments. In the meantime, we downgrade our FY12-14 EPS forecasts by 11-15% to incorporate lower load factors and higher operating costs, cut our P/E target from 8x to 6x, and reduce our target price from S$1.40 to S$0.92.
