finally for once i have to agree with pension. however stress if taken on the right amount can be good for growth.
u can afford to win but can't afford to loss. trading is never easy, ur brain cell die faster under stress.
trading is easy if:
1)u are suitable to be a trader
2)u like trading
3)u stick to rules and few systems
4)u can take mechanical jobs and not get bored.
5)dun read news and forums postings. good traders, like my frens dun read or post in forums.
6)have good mentors
7)can take stress
EASY or HARD depends on each pax, one man's meat can be anothers poison. for me i say easy coz i quite suitable to be a trader and the system i follow suit my character.
Saw my fren got a multi-monitor setup where he got 1 large plasma or LCD monitor with 2 LCD monitors at the sides. Was thinking to use my this week stocks winning to buy one or 2 large plasma or lcd tv to use as main so can open few windows in this one screen. and 2 windows on the LCD monitor each. maybe now have to put the plan aside for a while if DOW dun rebound on Monday. not going to touch forex money as funds in US and also i prefer to let it roll for more lots. oh yes he got 2 broadband plan, 1 wireless and 1 lined. lol
Will take advice and go sim lim to look at the external usd graphic adapter on sunday. most likely will also need to up my laptop ram to 2gb and get a backup budget PC.
Enter two position trades on short GBPUSD and Long EURUSD on friday. expect to keep this trade open for some days or weeks. will do some intraday tradings for scalping.
good luck to my fellow forex traders. Nice feeling right? no need to bother with bull or bears of the stock market. once i close my stocks position, either win or lose, will transfer more funds to forex.
Pension... :)
If I have my way, 6 screens may still not be enough...

well, can earn money or not, just stick by ur trading rules.
6 screens
one for trading
one for news
4 for API charts
cheers
Is Forex trading really, really easy to earn money?
Who loses money then?
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
mani, six screen, dun be greedy.
Having 6 screens will make your trading 'chores' a joy and breeze to perform.
It is about time someone make a 'Trading Screen System' which consists of a multiple-screen configuration in a single configurable frame. Maybe one of the creative manufacturers can come up with something like that..
Besides news, one screen can be for HD entertainment...

6 screens...wow, you must be big time trader
u need at least 3 screen, one for trading, news, TA
i used to have 6 screens.
That's right...
go to SLS and shop around for a good external USB2.0 graphics adapter for the purpose.
Some may have multiple VGA output connectors for LCD monitors. Otherwise if only single output, you may need to buy more than one adapter.
Best is to shop around....

I think you have to change your graphic card. Go to Sim Lim, I believe they will be able to help you
anyone knows how to get my laptop to do 4 monitors? currently my laptop running on 2 Screens, 1 is the laptop LCD, another is the LCD monitor i bought. thanks

What a real time trader should get. currently i have only 2 monitors and only 1 PC. hope to have 4 monitors and 1 more PC.
Back to forex trading after the holidays,
traded GBP and Yen Yesterday, took 30+ pips and 10+ pips respectively thou could have made 100+ & 90+ pips respectively as i forgotten abt news coming out yesterday and USD spike up. lucky to be able to set a Stop lost to protect earlier gains.
USDYen still look bearish but there is a major support nearby till it breaks, will rule out shorting it.
GBPUSD looks bearish. look for short.
EURUSD looks bullish. look for long.
GBPYEN is a good pair to trade for high volatility and pips movement per day.

Is a pip the same measure we use for all the major crosses when we trade?
Yeah... yeah!... :)
I want to make you my Forex sifu... hehehe...

Long-term, i.e. over 6-12 months, my guess would be that JPY and some commodity currencies like AUD and CAD will gain against USD. EUR will probably gain a little bit more in the next 3 months before coming off. I am bearish on GBP.
The nice thing about FX trading is that there are always opportunities, so one doesn't have to be disappointed or feel that one has missed a chance. Plus it is practically 24 hrs trading, a lot is happening during Singapore night time.
USDJPY could rebound a bit next week.
buy usd, it is at it lowest and may not fall any further.
