I believe the debt facility has not much to do with the acquisition of the remaining F& N shares.
If he postpones again the stock price will be stagnant @ 0.380-0.400 range.

actually also not sure... its hard to take off bone from hungry dog especially when the dog has it in his mouth.. possible the recent debt facility approved by thai bev is to make a counter offer to OUE... TCC recently actually acquired an insurance company at China... making headlines like the highest takeover by overseas company.. this Charoen guy is definitely calibre.. so i in terms of investment i think i'm sold on the management team... but the development of this can be tricky... especially to investor

Err Tcc didn't acquire ping an. It's another Thai company. Coincidentally the name of that company is also chaoren.
Positive news for thaibev would be a reverse takeover from f&n or up the bid but not too much higher |

about 60% of thai bev is own by Charoen wife's ... Charoen wife started to buy at 0.360 to 0.365 early this year.... If i not mistaken...   maybe possible right issue as last resort... recent thai bev secure some loans, possible Charoen will only bid slightly higher than OUE, won't be much.. so i speculate this saga will like up and down....   thai bev bid higher, follow by OUE bid higher follow by thai bev bid higher then OUE and so on? depend who is desperate enough ? I don't know just a guess... trump card not so fast yet... maybe ?

Yes, in common rights issue it gives existing shareholders the ability to buy new shares usually at a discounted price. As more shares are added to the pool, there will be dilution.
In Thai bev case, if chaoren decides with rights issue, he has to subscribe to all entitlements in order to keep his proportion in the company. Thus he has to put in more cash and use this fund raised to add bid for f&n. in such case, if the bid is successful, the profits from the acquisition will be shared with thaibev shareholders.
I think the current offer for f&n using Tcc to acquire the remaining 60+% of f&n is a wiser choice and highly likely to continue. It will not over leverage thaibev credit position, does not require any rights issue or placement that dilute the shares, and can keep the returns from f&n between he as his wife (who each owns 50% of Tcc).

Only Semb marine ... am trading with cautious, no very sure about market sentiment about the fiscal cliff.
As we know market hates uncertainty ... I am afraid ppl juz damp off even with the slightest news even though we know for sure it will be resolved somehow...
I believe it won't collapse but we are all worried that the stock price will plunge with irrational selling...
Actually if there isn't fiscal cliff looming, the traditional the month of Dec we should be seeing a rally when the fund manager return ...
Hope the fiscal cliff will have a concrete resolution and will then boost the investor confidence ...
Merry Christmas to all .... cheers
Actually LionGold decline a lot recently, looks like it's time for rebound ....

Yeah the low of 0.38 looks quite bad two days ago.. Was also worried, but am betting thbev will do something about the bid within the next days. I think they will bid slightly higher than oue. If they get f&n they are not paying too much. If they lose, at least they can increase the profit by divesting the stake. Well if it drops then probably have to cut it.
yesterday drop until 0.385.. looks kind of scary to me .. anyone on the OUE sides or THBEV sides ? who will win F& N over ?

Good luck cheerstan! I entered a little more at .395. Hope things turn out well. Few more days.. See if they offer something better to F& N.

Hopefully with the loan facility, THBEV will rise ...

THBEV in the oversold zone ... is good news ... when it is time, investors will return and buy back those they have shorted ... good time to accumulate ... and wait for the good news and then take the ride ...
Hopefully with enough power this time to move above last resistance of .445
Let's wait and see
I think it is getting more interesting near Dec 11 ...
