ST engineering is bullish looking.

Probably due to its CD status

Hi colorado,

ST Eng is now CD.... when it XD, the share price will most likely drop. After XD, if the TA charts still show what it shows now, most likely the price will rise again.

Thanks Singaporegal! Since they have announced the results and dividends to be paid, does that mean the price will dip then although overall trend may be heading north.  Please advise..

Many thanks.

Of course of course, its just happened that I lunch there almost everyday becoz of the cheap food.  If I drive along YCK nearer to Motorola & Apple, its ST MicroElectronics.  Sometime I do go to the POSB ATM in ASCENDAS building near to StatChpPac to withdraw money. So you can see, everywhere I go, I will wonder how each of the company is doing.

My recent pass-by is MacQuarie Int'l Inf, and the stock is a high div yield so I am looking to get some and am waiting for the downtrend to complete.  Tempting to buy at 1.04 today but daily is begining bearish so will wait out.

KiLrOy,

The business at the Seletar Base is only a very minor part of St Eng's Aerospace business....let alone the overall business. So, don't draw your conclusions solely from that perspective.

I think the Electronics sector is also coming along quite well. Its integration of its big acquisition iDirect is beginning to bear fruits.

Reading CEO Tan PH's comments, he seems bullish about 2007.

Its good to know that you have mapped out your investment criteria and you are disciplined and selective with your stock picks. This is an important factor for success in this game. Keep it up!!!!

shplayer,

my criteria in stock selection is that the company must be paying out high dividend yield YEAR TO YEAR. This is my 'safety net'.  Stock like Challenger which pay a good div yield last year but not YEAR TO YEAR is out of the question.

Thanks for letting me know of the div yield.

ST Engg holding well at 3.30 physiological support but resistance building at 3.40.  Staying sidelined for now.

Most days I eat lunch at ST Engg Seletar Airport Canteen so cannot help but wonder how they are doing. Two hangers always have commerical planes parked there.

What I mean is ST engineering may have past its bottom in the recent past. It MAY be uptrending soon.

kiLrOy,

Divident will be 15.11 cts...tax exempt. Div Yield is a factor or your purchase price. Say, you bougnt at 3.30, then div yield is (15.11/330)*100% = 4.58%.

Company also announced they will start paying interim divident from FY2007.....i.e. there will be an interim divident when they announce 2Q (period ending 30 Jun07) results.
