Doubt that piece of news has any impact. Just an internal transfer from A to B. loaded somemore at 0.395 today. But overall still small holding..
Recent Bloomberg news seem to show that the company is very keen on acquiring f&n. if they manage to get another 15% from some of the funds, it'll be great

Thais tried to buy 10% of F& N at S$9.60: sources
By
Banks acting on behalf of Thai tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi's investment vehicle tried unsuccessfully over the weekend to pick up an additional 10 per cent of Fraser and Neave (F& N) from institutional shareholders at S$9.60 per share, market sources said.
That price represents an 8.1 per cent increase over Mr Charoen's current S$8.88 per share offer for F& N, and a 5.7 per cent increase over a rival bid of S$9.08 per share by a consortium led by Overseas Union Enterprise (OUE).
F& N shares opened at S$9.52 on Monday, but rose steadily to as high as S$9.62 in the morning.
Mr Charoen, who is his making his bid for F& N through privately held TCC Assets and in concert with listed brewer Thai Beverage Public Co, has until Jan 2 to decide if he wants to extend and raise his current offer.
yeah jingsze!! if you have chance, can consider to close it. :)

No point holding on to TCC any longer.   They keep holding off the FNN position.   Its either BUY or NO BUY.   I will let go once its hit target of .395 - 400.     Small profit rather than no profit.
Aiyoo .... wondering when it will chiong Up again???
Noble and olam moving man!
Olam seems a little risky but I guess good return if it can resolve the debt issue quickly ...
I will move out THBEV even with small coffee duit ... maybe out at .405 I hope it is soon ....
Actually Cordlife also good counter to look at ... last look was .51 and now wow .55 ..just that my money is struck in THBEV ...
I am also looking at LIONGOLD as well ...
See ya soon ...

So pissed offfff..... drag n drag n drag.. price goes down n down.. money all stuck inside :(
I believe ThBev is moving in another direction from looking to borrow more money to buy F& N to looking forward to OUE offering a higher price.
So they are just buying time hoping OUE gives a better offer before selling.
OUE should also know that F& N investors unlikely willing to take OUE's offer at 9.08 per share, even if ThBev decides to give up the offer of 8.88, IMHO.
If F& N is valued at 8.30-11+, as an investor, would you give up your shares at 9.08? :)
My personal opinion is that there won't be much movement till end of the month or early 2013. If there's better opportunities, I'm looking to cut and place elsewhere. To be honest, I think oue bid makes the situation complicated. If they had gotten the bid at 8.88, its a great boost for thaibev. If not, I think the upside is restricted.

Shrewd business man... He just doesn't want to pay more.. He's thinking that OUE cannot get the critical 50% with such an offer (since 30+% is in his hands).. Either OUE pays more or they have to exit from their offer. Based on current offer, ThaiBev will book around 100m of profits, but at 9.50 they will book 300+m of profits from sale of F& N stake (numbers estimated by CIMB).
Argh but it's really taking a long time...
As usual, the Thais extends its offer to 2 Jan 13, 1 day before OUE's offer of $9.08 on 3 Jan 13. Dun know why they keep playing delay tactics....???
Perhaps, the Singapore Authorities should just step in to put a stop & ask both OUE & TB to offer a " final" highest bid for F& N. The longer it drags, the more small investors suffer, especially F& N shareholders who cannot get the distribution $ of APB sale.
Dun noe how much more this is going to drag........
