Sea of red, genting under selling pressure because STI down 73points

Wah, this one sai kun (shit boiling) already! Better run.
Short selling for the rest of the week? Shortist shooting down Genting??
broke the support..now trending down <$1
contra players gonna cry
short term support at $1.02 (based on closing)...with STI's direction unclear in the short term, let's see though TA looks good (85% chance that it will retouch new high)...for short term investor not comfortable with the support, can try to take off some profit...however for mid-term investor, buy on dip as both FA and TA looks good for mid-term...good luck

too clouded here...short term resistance at $0.93, $1.02, $1.20 |
very speculative..one moment up ..one moment down..
not for the faint hearted especially those that wanna make a quick buck on genting..
long term investment!
The issurance of bond comparable to placement should help genting share. More than often, the bond price should be more attractive than the share price otherwise nobody will buy the bond. One of the investment house said genting revenue is many folds becos of the IR, to be conservative, I assume the share for genting is $5 in 5 yrs time, thus the bond price for 1.20 is very attractive. This shows that genting share can goes above $1.20 anytime from now.
how will the issuance of the convertible bond affect genting price?
$1.2+ in 5yrs don't sound very enticing to me..
Jackjames... :)
I like your style... ie have an objective profit target... :)
But long-term investors may really need to be patient with market cycles, though
Hope can reach my target of $1.50
Latest support 1.07 .....
Later will run wild again ..... just like previous days .....
victorf will ask you to hold the baby..
for my personal experience, this kind of 3 days run, it's just exactly the same as previous cycle (up to 1.17) , the real winner is those BB and contra players ( me !, ha ha)... those who vested for "long term", and always don't want to let go if profit lock 2000 dollars (my rules) , it will end up back to the square always.. (especially this counter) , the major task now for genting, is to break the psycology level at 1.20... which i think it will be... but when? i don't know.. if i know, i won't be sitting here..
my opinions only.
So any outlooks on the current situation? Will the 1.10 be broken today or will Gen Int settle at a near low?
I have 30 lots 0.99c hold since Jan'07... I miss today intra-day high of 1.11/1.12 range. Should I let go all at 1.07/1.08 now? I have a trading limit of $30,000 am using UOB investcredit to hold, hence I am paying interest since Feb'07
guys.. don't worry, i am not vested, but contra 3 times on this counters liao, muahahhaha... good earning .... but then, vested for long term can forget about it , sometimes, we must react according to gia shu singaporean market, when news out, they will keep buying, then, we know its contra time, heee..
damn, i love genting, the cycle up and down.. u can really earn many times instead of just park the money .. because not everyone can park 50 lots and wait for "miracles", victorf, right? so, 1.20 next price? good! let's cheong for it..
Hi all
Will the issuance of convertable bonds affect the share price bull run?
When SC issue convertable bonds last time , share price plunge.
Any advice?

April 17 (Bloomberg) -- Genting International Plc, the
overseas unit of Malaysia's Genting Bhd., is selling S$450
million ($297 million) of bonds convertible into shares to partly
fund the building of a casino-resort in Singapore.
The five-year bonds can be converted into stock at about
S$1.238 a share, or an 18 percent premium to yesterday's closing
price of S$1.05, the company said today. Genting International in
December won the bid for the city's second casino-resort, which
will include a Universal Studios theme park.
Genting Bhd., Asia's biggest publicly traded casino operator,
is betting that the $3.4 billion proposed resort in Singapore
will generate S$15 billion a year in tourist spending. The
company yesterday said it will award S$508 million in
construction contracts for the project.
Genting International expects net proceeds of S$441 million
from the bond sale, which will also pay for Star Cruises Ltd.'s
25 percent stake in the casino project, the company said in a
statement to Singapore's stock exchange.
Genting International said last month it will pay Star
Cruises S$255 million to buy its 25 percent stake, gaining full
control of the casino project on Sentosa island. The companies,
both units of Genting Bhd., had won the bid jointly.
CIMB-GK Securities Pte, DBS Group Holdings Ltd. and J.P.
Morgan Securities Ltd. are the joint book runners and managers
for the offer. Macquarie Bank Ltd. and Oversea-Chinese Banking
Corp. are also managing the offer.
Genting International shares, which are traded in Singapore,
surged 15 percent yesterday, the biggest one-day gain since Jan.
3. The stock has risen 24 percent this year, compared with the 14
percent advance in the benchmark Straits Times Index.
Shares of Genting Bhd. climbed 25 sen, or 2.9 percent, to
close at 8.75 ringgit yesterday.
Strong support at 1.08-1.09 region as BBs bought in 7910lots at 1.09 before opening this morning
