Almost 70% shares collected. Whole  FNN lies in his hand.

Japanese brewer Kirin Holdings said on Friday that it will sell its entire 14.8 per cent stake in Fraser and Neave (F& N) to Thai tycoon Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi for S$2 billion. Kirin, which bought into F& N in 2010 and is the property-and-beverage conglomerate's second largest shareholder, will book a pre-tax profit of about 47 billion yen. (BT)

Anyway at the closing bell, final bet of $9.55c, one more billion dollar is added into TCC debt.

Consolidation for about one to two quarter, then attaining much more appreciation in price, I presume.

Rich! World’s Richest Gain $14 Billion as Bezos Fortune Falters The 100 wealthiest people on the planet added $14 billion to their collective net worth this week as the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index delivered its strongest start to a year since 1997. One of the week’s biggest winners was Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Thailand’s richest man won control of Fraser & Neave Ltd. Thai Beverage +6.6% F& N saga coming to end

Thai Beverage is up 6.6% at $0.485, after shooting to an all-time high of $0.50. The rally is probably due to growing expectations the planned takeover of F& N by ThaiBev and TCC Assets will sail through after the F& N board recommended the sweetened $9.55/share bid and OUE pulled out of the race, says a person familiar with the deal.

Separately, Weiming Yang, premium client manager at IG Markets Singapore, says “the market is taking comfort that the F& N bidding war is coming to an end.” Acceptances of the takeover offer as well as F& N shares owned by TCC Assets and ThaiBev are at 46.13%.

F& N’s directors have agreed to resign after the close of the offer Kirin, which holds around 15% of F& N, will make a decision on its stake by Feb. 4, an executive said.

S& P Thai Bev rating unaffected by TCC's higher bid

(The following statement was released by the rating agency)

Jan 22 - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that its rating on Thai Beverage

Public Co. Ltd. (BBB/Watch Neg/-- axA/Watch Neg/axA-2) is not affected by related

party TCC Group's increased bid for shares in Singapore-based conglomerate Fraser &

Neave Ltd. (F& N).

We will evaluate the credit implications for Thai Bev of any future

related-party transactions between the company and TCC if the transaction with

F& N closes. In particular, we will assess how the integration of the different

operations of F& N could influence Thai Bev's business and financial risk

profiles. We will also seek more clarity about Thai Bev's plan to reduce its

debt over the next 24 months, its dividend policy, and the likelihood of

further debt-funded acquisitions.

Thai Bev's leverage increased substantially following a debt-funded

acquisition of a 29% stake in F& N in 2012. The company financed this

acquisition using a Singapore dollar 3.3 billion syndicated loan it obtained

in December. Its ratio of debt to debt plus equity increased to 62.8% as of

Sept. 30, 2012, from 27.2% as of Dec. 31, 2011.

dont be silly it would take like many days and alot of buying to make up the 10% needed by the thais if he buys from open market.

even last friday he did buy from open market just make up of only 0.5% only?

the majority still with the funds and director....

but the question here is those holding APB and F& N for so long would have huat from share price appreication and divivdend given out over the years (30 years or more)

the money we are talking about its alot like $20B? those $$ from the sale of APB @ $55? and F& N eventually @ $9.50-$10 where will they put the money?

bank?? 0.05% interest? No

Property?? No no as it has peaked

Gold ?? NO NO NO!!! unless u wanna hai the person till very jia liat

so should be back to shares...just that we need to find out which one ?

FN is trading at 9.55 with heavy volumn, is ThBev buying them in open market to achieve a 50

% ownership to turning it into an unconditional offer so that the FN Directors are prepared to accept?
