i bought 10,000 shares only at 0.415... maybe sell tomorrow for a short term gain.. reason i buy ? JR join the non-exec directors... i think JR personally cannot buy, because if he did, they will deem it as insider trading... JR is a well known investment guru people are watching what he say and what he do to predict the market, so at least he has some influence, experience and hindsight on certain markets condition that we may not know, don't play play...haha
Last min big buy up.. tomorrow those holding will huat ah...
but not me.. I'll be keeping this in my WL.

Once major shareholders are ALLOWED to sell ts their shares after their " restriction period" ,
GEO seems like high risk , small gains stock
UNLESS Jim ROger declares that he buy from open market 5% stake @ 40 - 45 cts

Geo engery went up 20% just because Jim rogers is on board as a Non Exec Director?
i call this irrational exuberrence.. prefer to see it go up on fundamentals instead of just namesake

Question we need to ask : did Jim Rogers buy any stake in GEO ? If NO, why not ?
2nd Q : if simply by asking someone " big fish" to join on board as director = share price UP ,
then I SUGGEST ALL SGX-LISTED companies to invite " big fishes" like Warren Buffet and his likes to join on board as directors.

My view is : you hold or bought GEO before its request for halt = would not believe you SHORT-SOLD today.
Look at your JR news way before official announcement today. : )

2. Important point : no announcement Jim Rogers takes a substantial stake in Geo Energy. If he takes a substantial stake = means have confidence
No vested interest by JR = ? (think about it)

Hopefully today Geo Energy will hold the line above $0.375. When China PMI improving, good for coal miner stock
Yesterday hold the line strongly at $0.365.
Today hold the line strongly at $0.37.
Not too bad......seems like Pre-investors, vendors and IPO investors are interested in Geo Energy.

SINGAPORE, Oct 19 (Reuters) - Shares of Indonesian coal miner Geo Energy Resources Ltd surged as much as 51 percent above the initial public offering price in its trading debut on the Singapore Exchange on Friday.
Geo Energy shares rose as high as S$0.49 on volume of nearly 117 million shares, making it the most active stock in the Singapore market. The company sold 289.3 million shares at S$0.325 each and its IPO was 2.9 times subscribed.
'The public offer was quite small so that drove up demand and the sector is quite attractive in the long term,' said a trader. 'With Sakari going to be delisted, there are very few pure coal plays in Singapore.'
PTT, Thailand's top energy company, offered in August to buy out Singapore-listed coal producer Sakari Resources Ltd for $960 million as the oil and gas firm expands into coal to meet rising regional demand for the fuel.

I don't think Pre-IPO investors, IPO investors, vendors are selling cos Geo Energy is the only coal miner listed in SGX
I think $0.40+ is coming. My personal view only, not an inducement to buy or sell.
