I shorted 5 lots 6.60!

 

Revenue up 65%..but profit up marginally..what does that tell u..

 

DJ up by 140 over points, but CO dropped US$3.00 or more. Result of SPC not that spectacular that comand a cheong tomorrow. In fact SPC profit is down by a couple of percentage for 2Q08 compared to last yr quarter. Hope the divvy of 20 cents will support the price tomorrow, if not be prepare to see RED....my view is neutral, leaning slightly more to the negative. If cheong in the opening I think I will short. If drop in the morning, I will sideline.

Counters to long tomorrow are properties, and financials, and maybe transport since CO dropped so much.

 

Actually, the charts don't look very good.... hopefully the dividends will push the price up... Just me views.

 

half-yr divvy 20 cts plus 2nd half-yr [say same as last yr's] divvy 40 cts = 60 cts per yr., at 2day's px of 6.53 divvy yield = 60/653 = 9.188%.....2morrow dun b surprised ppl change into tis counter.

 

20 cents interim divvy xd 12 aug.

I think tonight result may not be good. If not now should cheong laio, info will usually leak before the announcement...my view oni! Good luck folks.

OK, I am out of my short position @6.56 (shorted 6.80)...for some kopi$$. SInce I am shorting SGX, I will let this go lah! Dun hold too much position in case the mkt suddenly turn ard! Cheers! AK, I wish you luck on your new position, SPC seems to be resilient lately, not dropping much! Maybe an opportunity to LONG and wait for rebound. I will sideline.

AK view is that now CO slight dip, 2morrow trading falls into T+3 period within the coy announcement on 29. may hv players or small timers to acc 2morrow. unless there is great drop in CO later of the day of Wall Street.

later may Q 10 bids lower to test the market.

I do not wish to bang on the coming results. Got hunch that it's either under the estimate, drop in profit or announcement of lesser divvy than last year, the liulian is going to drop like a stone. I think I will held on to my short position until announcement of result...maybe half way chicken out...hehehe. AK, no abalone lah! No celebration until I see the $$...hehehe, so kopitiam kopi now.

 

how much do u think SPC will give out for the dividend? more than the 20cents which given out last yr??
