I think Tigerair  leaving australia is not a good  move. Tiger must be there and  strong to play around with competitors. I think SIA mgt will do everything to protect Tigerair.
I think any aircraft carrier will need small warships around  them in their system.
Singapore can forget about to invest in Australia !

" .  leaving australia totally ......"   leaving 45% of total revenue and go somewhere else ???
" ....DMG & Partners research analyst Melissa Yeap said: " Last year it made S$279 million in revenue from Australia, that is 45 per cent of total revenue of S$622m. Impact will be significant to overall group revenue."   ......
IF the company indeed leave au, the impression will be they are running away from problems and not try to fix it....who dares to take TigerAir anymore anywhere ???

I don't see any uncertainty with SIA and temasek backing, It should be up to $1.4 once the australia issue is over. Do vest at low now.Good luck
The future of tiger airways is so uncertain, buy at ur own risks. $1 seemed a strong support.

They may consider leaving australia totally- may be better for TigerAir. Anyway with the new director, may be changes that benefit the company.

Oz is protecting their own national interest, and try to force singapore owned company out of their air space. They can take as long as they like to ban TigerAir from flying. All the TigerAir pilots are veteran with at least 30 years of experience, and the airbuses are in good shape. What a shame!
My broker say selling had been over done for the pass 3 days. It may be time for the BB to pickup at low price now. Short at your own risk.
Good luck

SINGAPORE, July 7 (Reuters)
DMG & Partners has cut its target price for Singapore budget carrier Tiger Airways
STATEMENT: Australia's air safety regulator said on Wednesday it would seek a court order to keep Tiger Airways grounded in the country until Aug. 1 due to ongoing safety concerns.
DMG estimates Tiger will incur direct losses of S$32 million due to the Australian ban and has cut its earnings forecast for the airline by 66 percent for fiscal 2012 and 50 percent for 2013.
" There could be further downside risks to earnings from higher operational costs in terms of staff costs and higher marketing costs in an attempt to repair its reputation," said DMG in a report.
institutions are forward looking, they buy for long term.
Tiger is their pick.
cheers.
