Raffles Education STARTED with PLENTY of THUNDERS but there were NO RAINFALLS....
Land DRIED UP and the Earth CRACKED....
CROPS canNOT survive....
Of course, OUTCOME is NO HARVEST....
Education MODEL is NOT TRADITIONALLY GENUINE and DEGREES are SELF-ACCREDITED....
Started as Raffles University but NOW downgraded to Raffles University Systems....
Visit the campuses, Talk to the students, Listen to the graduates....
The BEST way to learn the business is to be the CUSTOMER and REGISTER yourself as a STUDENT....
Cut your losses before further price drop. I think their business model is not producing the desired outcome.

Exit this counter when it get too hot few months back at $0.6 range, thinking of re-purchase at current low but with the earnings drop by 50% quarter over quarter, the short term EPS decline will deter me from buying in.
Did not read the detail report, are the new colleges already generating or expected to contribute positively in near term ?

The company have been going downhill for the past 4 quarters.
Horrendous results.. kanna-sai.

Raffles Education Corporation, one of the largest private education providers in the Asia Pacific region, has set up another four colleges in India under its Raffles Millennium International (RMI) flagship. They are RMI Chandigarh, RMI Chennai, RMI Ahmedabad RMI and Hyderabad These colleges, set up with an initial investment of $1 million each, will receive their first intake of students from April. These colleges will offer courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Management & Marketing, Jewellery Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication, Business, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. With the addition of these new colleges, RafflesEducationCorp now operates 33 colleges of higher education across 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific region. These new colleges are not expected to contribute materially to the group’s performance for the financial year ending 30 June 2010. |
Quarter Results coming from RE is very important
If RafflesEdu self fund the RMB 500 million to pay off the first installment to purchase the university city by April 2010.
Case 1:
If RE have a Suddenly Surge back to 5x - 6x cents. We will expect RafflesEdu Rights Issue or Share Placement from RE very soon. Then Stable around 0.4x
Case 2:
Able to pay the installment with its own cash flow - will bring RE back to 6x cents.
Case 3:
Deal off - As RE cannot afford to pay off the first installment. RE gonna drop to 0.2x cents
