Is it legal for the insider BB to press the price like this?

infancybird      ( Date: 02-Jan-2013 20:35) Posted:

Today the block is very clear with less pressured selling as the buy volume is relatively weak. Always there is a about half million block at 1.23 or 1.225.  Base on these pattern, I concluded that the i-seller is part of insider BB belonging to the mgt. They acted in concert to cap the price at or below 1.225 so as to fix their M& A offer price at that level. Remember the mgt had doubled their issue share from 2 to 4 billion now with the newly issued share still waiting to be used for such M& A.   Our strategy as small retail investor is to be patient and wait for the company to announce their quarter reporting plus any other good news. If the Q report  can beat estimate , the stk price will move up but not much as it will still be capped till M& A is a done deal.If the Q result is within est or poorer than est, the iseller will use this excuse to press down the stock price to buy more stock cheaply . Still  i believe one day the stk price will be higher than 1.70..but.......when....... i dont know.

Today, the i-seller is irritating us again with his big blocking position at 1.215.  He is very determined with his tgt price of at or less than 1.22 till the next Quarter reporting. Hopefully till then it  will bring about a change.  I think the mgt has instructed him to keep it at that price so that their M& A price will not cause great dismay to retail investors . The last M& A was offered at 1.2215. This time may be the same or lower.  If the price of Bio shot up too high it may not be pleasing to offer Bio at around 1.22.  I must say this is my guess only, I may be wrong. However looking at the way the movement of the share price    & sale and volume pattern  seems to indicate these are typical BB  footprint . Afterall these Bio mgt`s   interference has happened to BIo several times before last  few years.

I am suspicious of the management.  The sellers  may be the beneficieries of those who were given very lucrative bonds (> 8%) and free warrants convertable to shares at 60+ cents  who have converted them into shares at a huge profit while shutting out retail investors.  Anyone attending the next AGM should question them on whether they have also sold any shares while buying back.

I  think so too bt when market down,  the pushing it down is vry obversely. Unloaded tdy at 1.225.  Better to focus on other counters.

You are welcome.  You should get payment from your sale 3 days from day of sale.  You should link one of your bank accounts to your trading account to get your sale proceeds faster and without hassle.  Get your remiser to send you the forms.

Sell first then buy is ok provided you do not naked short, meaning you had the shares you sold on Friday.  But if you did not then you have a problem with SGX

If that's the case, then let's hang in there and hold on tight.

Sooner or later, the price is going to go up.    Smiley 156

Ya , this i-seller is still there..today he is not selling a lot but he blocks the price from going up.....has a feeling he is part of mgt team trying to cap the price at under1.22 for a possible M& A , a price fixing trick that I had always been suspecting. Got to wait till Jan/Feb quarter announcement to see if it is true. Bio will stay here for this few weeks.

Just a short question.. I sold my first share last friday, can I buy the share today so that both the trades settle on Friday? (Since tomorrow is public holiday)..

this stock is for mid to long term... those who wan to hit n run is not advisable to play this counter.. long term wise might be again to see $1.80.

If you can afford to hold if it sinks up to 10 cts for a bigger profit in the medium to long term, its worth the chance to try.  If you're a trader  who shouts he wins/loses a few cents, don touch this stock.
