Along the way I used my salary to top-up my account also. And I lost more money at the beginning, then gradually I break even, then after Genting, I only use profit money to trade. It is a trading journey, and many lessons are learnt, paid dearly with hard earned cash. But I guess that is the best way to learn?

Maybe we have different thinking. My thinking always, if you think you will not be happy if this happened, then do not do it, remain status quo. Sometime I lost in stock market (speculating) & casino using my hard earned money. But I have no feeling as that is my budget. Life is always up and down, as long as you are healthy, nothing to worry about. Life goes on, as long as you don get yourself into big trouble. You always have next time.
