I tell you this, I have been flying SIA for many years, their service recently have detiriorated significantly... it seems they are cost cutting.... a friend who took economy from London recently found the food in particular is "unedible"... the milk for the coffee is found has expired some months.. between chicken or beef selection they have force you to take the chicken because beef ran out so sorry...., plane is old, they give advertising of the modern facilities in First Class & Business to economy passangers... it would appear they have no care for economy paying passengers.. the toilets facility in economy not enough and when you are urgent and try to use business class ones they drive you away!!! so characteristic of the S Garmen... only looking after the elite... I can only see SIA going down trend from now onwards ... ..
SIA fell because of high oil prices? Their costs and profits are highly correlated to oil.
SIA's cargo has been suffering for some time.... it is highly correlated with Singapore's manufacturing sector.
TA Signals mixed...
A smooth climb without turbulence... :)
Yippi !!! :) up another 1.10
I hope the "UltraStratospheric levels" as predicted by iPunter will come true. 'Bloody hxxx', I have this baggage for 6 years already having bought it at $16 in oct 2000. Talking about being patient. But I must admit that it gave out decent dividend during the years when bank interest rate was almost non existent or negligible.
This one may ascend to UltraStratospheric levels...
read the bloomberg news. SIA share of its leasing business netted US$340m
One probable reason is the news that SIA would be hiving off its Leasing business and this may lead to a payout of a special CD.
might be due to the aquisition of Quantas airlines... this could mean that SIA might get the lucrative trans-pacific routes from Australia since Quantas is no longer considered national co
Probably the euphoria of the BULL is stronger than the effects of firmer oil price.
Yes... very strange indeed. With rise in oil price, SIA share price should fall.
Anyway, TA-wise, SIA is quite bullish
Anyway, TA-wise, SIA is quite bullish
hi does anyone know what is the reason for the rise in price these 2 days? :)
Yes, looks like it...the outlook for the next 2-3 months is for crude prices to be firmer and higher.
So, SIA will face higher fuel cost.
Usually NOL will also follow suit (down when oil is up) but it is mitigated by the announcement by the big shippers to increase container freight rates.
SIA looks to be moving sideways somewhat.... there's also a chance it might downtrend.
So we can make money by just playing these two stocks? :)
Yup... actually its inversely related to oil stocks like SPC.
SPC up... SIA down
SPC down... SIA up
SPC up... SIA down
SPC down... SIA up
oil prices going up again :( stock going down
hi, are there any support / resistance level between $16 to $18 ?
