Many people said they lost money. Yes the market collapsed for a few days already and wiped out billions of dollars. Nobody makes money, your money just dissipated into thin air. People become poorer and cannof afford to buy more things. Economy collapses and everyone will suffer including everyone you can name, with some exceptions you know who. Maybe the shortists made something. Cry out loudly so that the upstairs can hear and bring some relief for everyone, mmmmmm, cannot hahaha already else people angry.
OK for sharing. Sold 3/4 of stock when STI was 3000. Nibble here and there last week. Now am thinking to whack when white candles appear. Always respect STI when correction is nearing.

If you sell and make some gain is alright
If you sell and make some loss, remember to buy back
Otherwise, you need to buy at higher price

ace achieve 3k loss. Not sure if it will ever go back up.
yummygd. I hope u don't have to experience it. For one whole week, I kept thinking I could have bought a QQ for that price. Worse, that week I kept noticing all the QQs on the road while I was driving. Cheers.

Just curious, in which stocks have u made your biggest loss? Mine was ChinaXLX when playing the dual listing. Was trying out to see how good I was at trading at that time. Lost $26 000 in nine crazy minutes. Swore to myself never to trade like that again. Have to salute the BB pump and dump technique. Cheers.

But there are some small differences between a paper loss and an actual loss. Paper losses are book losses and can be regained when the market picks back but actual cut losses can only be regained when you remembered to re-enter the market.
Thanks for the correction......

There is no such thing as a "paper loss"...
Once you have lost, it is a very, very, very real loss... You can't call it a false loss unless you can guarantee tomorrow, or next week, or next month, or next year it will definitely go up again... Anyone don't agree?

My view and senecus' are similar... A loss is a loss is a loss... Money saved can be so precious it can be used to buy back the same thing at much lower prices... or used to buy better offers...

my biggest loss and probably the most stupid bet is on a s'pore listed coy, that amounts to about $400k, there after i became broke and also retired....

Beg to differ.......realized paper loss into real loss reinstates the capital which can be use to buy back the counter at a cheaper price...if allow paper loss to persist...the loss may be unrecoverable.

I had paid the tuition fee and learned. When i just invole in share market, i follow most of the beginner doing. bought penny stock, thinking that if price up by half or one cts, i can earn coffee money for the day already. finally i lost about 30+k in one year, i learned and decided not to touch the penny stock especially china stock. just concentrate on the local blue chip. my strategy let me earn about 30+K each year for the last two year. about 25% return. I am contented. |
