The nil paid right trading period is over long time ago (8dec2010~16dec2010), which is when the share price drop from 0.75 to 0.66, where someone or some body have push the nil paid right prices down to collect more of the shares at cheaper price.

You can't expect the yield to be 10% as last year the divident 7.6cts (for around 90cts stock) only produce around 8%, after the rights issue it should be still expecting a 8% yield which is around 6cts annually. But can be confirm that there are player gathering, as this stock sell volume is limited but always there is a sharp drop follow by quick regain into position, this is usually the tactic play by those BB to gather stock, force down to create fear and buy back those panic player shares to gather.

Agreed. First Reit is a good counter to own. DPU about 7.6 cents and hence the yeild is more than 10%. |

hmm...first REIT sponsor from wat i gather are having some cash flow prob....will that impact First REIT? :P
it depends on which sector you are looking at. im interested in healthcare and properties sectors and this counter gives the benefits of both. and its yield is more than 8%. i foresee the capital growth for upside is much higher than the other reits you mentioned.
MasterLim, can share your views on this? Currently thinking of investing in reits. Thanks

How is this compare with Cambridge reit and Suntec reit? I read in some analysis recommendation for the latter two, it seems that they are having better yields ( Cambridge ) and more stable ( Suntec ).

after years of study, this will be the best reit to own.

read my analysis on First REIT
First REIT +0.7%; Ignores rights issue lodgement |
WRITTEN BY DOW JONES & CO, INC |
MONDAY, 06 DECEMBER 2010 14:41 |
First REIT (AW9U.SG) +0.7% at $0.740, in line with broad market, STI +0.8%; units not reacting to news during break.
REIT lodges offer information statement with MAS, detailing plans to raise $172.8 million via rights issue to fund acquisition of hospitals in Indonesia, as news well flagged after REIT’s manager Bowsprit Capital announced issue on Nov 8. Also plans to buy Mochtar Riady Comprehensive Cancer Centre for $170.5 million, Siloam Hospitals Lippo Cikarang for $35 million.
REIT offering 345.66 million new units at $0.50 apiece, on basis of 5 rights units for every four units held at Friday’s close; issue will open Dec 8, close Dec 22; price represents 32% discount to Friday’s close at $0.735.
REIT usually thinly traded, but action today even scarcer at just 249,000 units; suggests last week’s high of $0.750 unlikely tested near term.
