DJ MARKET TALK: Chartered Semi May Fall On Cautious 3Q Update (2008-09-10 00:16:00)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0016 GMT [Dow Jones] Chartered Semi (C27.SG) may head lower on cautious 3Q guidance. Chipmaker now expects revenue, utilization to be at lower end of previous guidance range due to changes in customer delivery schedules; but guidance for average selling prices, gross profit and net loss unchanged. Sentiment already weak as investors fret that global slowdown will lead to more challenging operating environment with recent weak 2Q performance from Dell fueling concerns about sector outlook, though Chartered comments further compound this. Shares off 1.3% at S$0.395 yesterday, equal to Friday''s all-time intraday low; next support likely a psychological one at S$0.38.(KIG)

Just when most Sickapore Technical stocks almost all melted to become a cent to the most of few cents,  NASDAQ continued to fall as market confirmed that with crude oil collapse, the industrial demand go slow, and due to the impact of stock market tumble,  the purchase power on technology devices and equipment also go slow.

Even Apple iphone selling like hot cakes and the uses of chips on intelligent cards are on demand, but the price of CSM and STATchipac price continue to melt down, we should know these should be the reasons behind.

Chartered semicon = Game Over?

i think tech stocks all kena affected big time, don't forget, DELL post horrible result last friday, and share price drop 15% on Friday... i think it should apply to all tech stocks.. nowadays, all company trim down the cost, especially the tech.
