i think this counter could be a potential takeover target???
cashiertan,
KeppelCorp announced it bought 18 mill shares from open market between 12 Feb to 7 Mar. increasing its stake to 35%.
I suspect it may have still been buying yesterday.....8 Mar.
teeth, what u think abt K1 with its high volume today?
price now 0.31, strong support at 0.30.. waiting to break the 0.30...
KepCorp announced the bought 191 lots of K1 Ventures at average of 32 cts per share.
Chipchip66,
Some K1 investors has reduced their hold and inclusive of warrants conversion, huge number of shares are floating in mkt. I doubt K1 will sell their Helm investment as this is their flagship revenue generating investments. Sale might be possible when oil prices hit all time high again which affects the profit margin of rail transportation companies. At this current oil prices, i reckon next quarter will still be on capitalising returns from Helm investments. Once vested, now exited. Might enter again in future once the price is good. Nonetheless K1 financial fundamentals are still going strong.

Chipchip66,
I am vested too....but I am quite disappointed with the performance so far. It certainly isn't one of my better investment choice of late.
However, I still believe the fundamentals are there. Will see how it goes ..perhaps the next Q...then decide my next move with it.
tks shplayer for the infos. i am beginnning to think there could be 2 scenarios here. With increased share base due to conversion of warrants, chances that Temasek selling in open market is very possible. This could depress share price if that happens. On the other hand, should K1 sell its helm business to third party, the price might shoot up as retail players will anticipate capital distribution again. I do hope for the later as me vested. Remember, K1 is an investment holding company, so if the price is right, they will sell!
chipchip66,
My estimate of eps contribution from sale of Good Tech is S$0.00147. Its not going make a substantial impact on the results.
Its a pity that this stock has really good FA and investments, but i still don't under why they can suffer such losses at forex. I would think 0.30 will be a very strong resistance point, however the downtreand will be gradual since there are too high volume of shares floating in the market now.
I think K1 will have better results in 3Q as the loss should be one-off. Core business in transportation in North USA will improve due to lower oil prices. Good Technology sale will be booked in 3Q as well.
i m cashing out with little profits to move to other stocks...
This stock worth holding or should I cut loss now? Any comment? Thanks.
A loss of 0.001 cent per share during 2nd qtr. due to exchange rate. In perspective, not too bad especially after shareholding being downsized through 6 cents distribution. Better be careful if anyone try to short the counter tomorrow.
Very disappointing result.
Even the sale of their 5% stake in Good Technology to Motorola only reaped about 10% profit.
they book the loss under foreign loss. how strange!
surprisingly the result is bad.
32c maybe?
yeah... so what price will it drop to man...
