can anyone tell me where to find MFI in chart? i can't find it in poems or SJ. Thanks!

 

I was one of the 50 odds present at the sat gathering and i can't disagree

with all those attended the gathering and their honest postings about Ray. I would like to

summarise with a simple sentence: Ray, your are a NOBLE person with facts and figures

to give us your calls.

Looking forward for more SJ gatherings.

hi Ray, thks for sharing selflessly some practical 'fishing skill tips'. I learnt something new, MFI >75, shall apply and test out on stocks I'm currently monitoring. I concur all of us should develop our own parameters in our short term trading or long term holding stocks that suit our risk tolerance level. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us on saturday, and taking all my questions from the floor. Its indeed wonderful that there are people like you who so willingly share so openly with everyone what you have learned and experienced in the market with newbies like us. Makes our learning curve not so painful.

Agree with fortunegal, that its wonderful there are people like ray and victorian who are so willing to come out and host such sessions, which are seldom seen in other forums. ( i do know that there are investment clubs in the states. wonder if anyone is interested in starting one here.)

Once again, Wonderful to have been able to match a face to the nick. Look forward to the next "share"ing session.

 

There is one thing I learn in investment. It is PATIENCE......

 

Hi Sojourner,

Quite a few stock behave like a "sleeping tiger" before they roar back to life. For example, ASL Marine at 90c, Swissco at 60c, FerroChina at 70c...

 

They suddenly roar back to life when you least you expect it. The tiger needs its nap to have more energy before it roars back to life.....:)

 

 

 

Livermore, looks like the Tai Sin ship has yet to depart :) i reckon it may take a few more days for the direction to be clearer.

Basser, ed88ks, livermore et al, great to meet you guys and put a face to a name. I think the great turnout on Sat may spur Ray to organize another gathering, but meanwhile, pls give him a break.

P.S. I've just started reading Technical Analysis Explained, by Martin Pring. A bit heavy reading, but one of the most all round authoritative books out there on TA. Get the book if you are genuinely interested in TA.

oh it seems like i miss out a lot of good things in the gathering....! i also miss out seeing my 'old friends' like simonloh n baseerahmed.  Gald u all have a great time in the gathering. Good to see sharejunction forumers like rayphua, simonloh, victorian holding gatherings like this. i don't think it will happen in other forums right(?)...that is the special thing about SJ. :o)

Livermore, Tai Sin could take a while before going up.  "A while" is a relative term, but currently money is still flowing out of this counter.  Btw, sorry I didn't get to chat with you yesterday.

Thanks everyone for taking time out on precious Saturday to meet up.  It was a truly enjoyable experience for me.  I hope it was the same for you too.  My perspective of 70 faceless nicks in the forums has changed as now I know you all in person.

In this sharing session, I hope those who had attended felt as I quote Baseer "now looking at the charts differently. now another layer of 'fog' has been removed and the vision is getting clearer ! really fascinating !", and as Ed says...to learn to read charts in a different manner from before.  That's right, not FA, nor TA, just simple practical investing.

Will certainly arrange another gathering soon to catch up again and find out how much has progressed since yesterday.  I may go in detail on actual trading scenarios during then as well.

And finally, thanks Chris for allowing this illegal gathering at the pub, and Sojourner for arranging this for us.  Cheers!

If the Magician is capable of doing a Disappearing Act, he surely is equally capable of doing a Reappearing Act .... only thing is when and where ..

in the meantime lets respect his current decision and give him the break he deserves ... and lets do our legwork and try to figure out the charts ..... : )

 

But I am sure Ray will still be around for those who really need his services...

And it will be a good thing if one day Ray will advertise his services in the papers...
Just like a few good traders who have market feel had done...
