Thanks jackjames for your extracted news. Hmm.. dunoe whether to it in what direction... Even though revenue went up but net profit went down due to the expenses incurred in accquiring PacMed leh... So does this mean that next quarter's results should be more encouraging? Dun think can bang much on Ambu's case as it may be a time-consuming process... Hopefully it can find better marketing means to tackle the competition problem...

Have faith in this counter & really hope to see it heading north soon!! Vested (small small only...)

Cheers!!

So, with this kind of so-so results, why the LMA board of managements "withdrawn" the shares buy back program?

LMA International expects its Q2 2007 to be adversely affected by its accounting treatment for the existing LMA PacMed inventory, but expects the benefits of the acquisition to be reflected thereafter.

It adds that it will continue to pursue strategies for growth in 2007 and anticipate the market of Laryngeal Masks to remain very competitive.

The company will also take actions against competitors who infringe on its patents and pursue those that started in 2006.

LMA recorded a 15% rise in revenue to US$23.6 mln, boosted by its acquisition of LMA PacMed.

If PacMed had remained an associate, the increase in LMA would have been about 9%.

Increased sales of single-use devices and sales of the LMA Ctrach contributed to LMA's sales growth, but prices of single-use products are still being pressured by the competition.

Net profit fell by 18.6% to US$3.5 mln and net profit margin was lower than previous quarters due to an increase in operating expenses and the accounting for PacMed.

The business generated US$3.2 mln in cash from operations, a decrease from the US$5.6 mln it made in the same period last year.

Thanks Singaporeregal and rayphua for the invaluable assistance.  Very touched that there are kind people out there who will go out of the way to help fellow SJ participants with their technical skill.

Hi rayphua

No words can express my appreciation for your selfless assistance.  Pse post an upside breakout when it happens.

Hello hikitty,

Haha... no need to put my nick as the topic title... very embarrassing. I usually look for posts by doing a search on my nick so I can find people who are talking to me.Smiley

For LMA,  note that its a penny stock with low volumes so TA may not be too accurate for this. From its charts, I don't see much bullishness in this. The Acc/Dist and Chaikin are both trending down and the price has cut the bottom bollinger band. All these signs are bearish in nature.

LMA is on a slight breakout currently, unfortunately for the lower.  Immediate support at 0.56, next support at 0.545.  Indicators do not look good for this counter at the momemt.  Will try to post an upside breakout when it happens.

If you need me to send you a chart of this counter, let me know.

Hi Singaporeregal

What's your reading of LMA?  Possibility of breakout soon or will investors have to wait for another one or two more years?  Fundamentally sound, yet has been trading below IPO price most of the time since being listed in 2005?    Thanks for your assistance.
