Stats ChipPAC outlook positive, expands facilities and staff strength
In a sign that the Singapore electronics sector may be on its way to recovery, mainboard-listed Stats ChipPAC announced yesterday that it will be hiring around 300 engineers this year as part of a US$500 million investment over three years.
Speaking to BT on the sidelines of a ceremony to inaugurate a new building that will augment the company's existing state-of-the-art facility here, Stats CEO Tan Lay Koon said around 40 per cent of the new jobs would be PMET (professionals, manager, executives and technicians) positions such as those in operations and for quality and equipment engineers.
The new facility will increase the company's manufacturing space by 30 per cent to 808,000 sq ft.
" Our hiring will primarily be in the second and third quarter of 2013."

My view is, today as usual StatsChP will open 0.420 high and close 0.415 low. And will expect over bought at 0.415.
