Yah, he will say don't play play with stocks.   His intention has always been good. But I fear something has gone wrong with him/her.   His last posting was 10 march before the earthquake and tsunami of Japan struck on 11 March..   After the terrible disaster in Japan, he stopped writing, so Hopeful he temporarily left the forum because of other priorities and not because of the Japan crisis. .
  Hello iPunter, are you ok?.
Don't play stocks.

Could it be a reason for SGX to always try to allow poorly managed or not viable or overpriced companies to list (IPO) to ensure the shortists can longterm hold a short until expiry of the company? Hope to get an answer from any brilliant person on this forum. Cheers.

The death bell knells for the SGX listed company, FirstLink Inv, and the last day ironically has the share price going up to 2 cents.
It shows the brute power of shortists working in SGX market, being unable for anyone to fathom it. Now at the last day they are frantically covering, but their bank accounts are growing huge everyday.   Lament....
Tomorrow it will be delisted, and shareholders may be lucky if they every get a cent back many many moons from now, if any if forthcoming.

I am not questioning the acquisition. It is as you say the perfect acquisition any CEO would dream of. Yes, the deal is very advantageious to FL.provided there is no hitches and that the seller honours his obligation, and to provide FL with a bonding guarantee that the co. (Tai Ann Aluminium) would generate profits of how many millions RMB in the business after they acquire it. What is the recourse if it turns out differently? FL must tie up the vendor's hands. Then it will be good. But honestly shareholders should benefit in the acquisition as another new profit pipeline is added. Cheers.

I think this round of RTO is real. It the most perfect acquisition any CEO would ever dream of. Acquiring a company for only about twice the annual reported and audited profits.
Somemore it is a "guaranteed profit" term and condition made by the vendor company. Shareholders should thank the directors for working so hard to find such a gold mine for the company. Respect and credit should be given wherever due. Cheers.

This round the company is coming up with a big reverse takeover of aan aluminium company. Its sounds very attractive with a guaranteed profitability. Can you trust that this will be a reality, when last time round with QHS, I went to the AGM so happy with the company showing that QSH will give out dividends to FL, but when at the FY report, wah peh, it lost "becuase of the global financial crisis". Then it came down to 4 cents. Recently because of RTO it went up from 5 cents to 8 cents.
I did not own shares recently so did not attend the recent AGM, can any shareholder give some pointers on the prospect of the company? Reason, I want to get some revenge for losing a few Ks before.

This former beauty recently rose to 8 cents and then today dropped again to 6 cents. Becareful and don't get caught here. I don't trust the company that said the acquisition of QHS to "offset" the big investment in GreenSalt Grp misdone by a previous director without board approval could turn into a winning situation for the company, but instead the acquisition reported a loss after being invested in by the group. Unless there is proof of profitability on the way, e.g. a good quarter report, I will not even invest one lot in it. Luckily I sold last time but now just watching it.
