Perhaps I'll keep this counter till the next quarter result based on the delivery of the projects. If the price doesn't go up by much...think I should just let it go at a reasonable loss

ASL Marine Holdings, the integrated marine company offering services in shipbuilding, shiprepair and conversion as well as shipchartering, posted a 12% rise in net profit attributable to shareholders to $10 million for the three months ended 31 December 2010 (2QFY2011).
Revenue fell 24% y-o-y to $103.1 million mainly due to lower revenue contribution from the shipbuilding operations which decreased by 47% to $53.6 million in 2QFY2011 as new shipbuilding orders slowed. Shiprepair and conversion operations recorded a 77% increase in revenue for 2QFY2011 to $31.9 million mainly attributed to works undertaken for a floating storage and offloading (FSO) vessel.
Revenue from the shipchartering operations was higher by 7% in 2QFY2011 due to marginally higher vessel utilisation rate. Consequently, gross profit increased by 13% to $4.0 million with gross profit margin improved slightly from 21.7% to 22.8%. |
Anyone knows when would the bonus shares be credited?
Bonus share is a zero sum game la...
They can claim they issue you at $0.01...
Market will still correct to reflect the proper dilution...
Waste of time nia...
Such management who indulge in such share manipulation instead of spending the effort to grow its business is a poor management...
hmm..meaning the price they issue to us is at a diff price as compared to the market. Indeed it shouldnt be the same..otherwise that would have been a profit i guess. So ..considering the plunge today and the possible price of the shares allocated...hmm..i'm wondering would it be a loss or a gain
James, gd question. Even i ask my broker, she explain until i blurt. What they meant, this bonus share is totally diff frm what u originally bought at price b4 the XB.. meaning ur 400 share is subjected to mkt price that issue to u. I also wan to find out how much is exactly the price is it??
It the same for my euyansang last mth.
what is the possible impact of the bonus shares? meaning if i holding 1000 shares...i get additional 400? 10 is to 4? what is the impact to the share price then
so this one can buy boh???
Bonus issue = LPPL
Does anyone think (know) if the announce propose issue bonus shares of (4) for every (10) existing ordinary shares is pass through and credited to shareholders, will the price of the mother shares drop to half the price of the existing price now after ex-bonus ?
Thank you for yr reply.

Boyikao3Excellent!
hehehe...
These brokerage houses have no idea and they always get it wrong. They have vested interest in calling for higher prices all the time because they are paid to do so (who got so free anyway to free analysis???). When funds want to buy, reports will be grim and pessimistic. When funds want to sell, their reports will be optimistic and "far-sighted".

wonder how they get the target price. Do the company pay them to set a high target price so that it will help to boost up its price and someone can download for a handsome sum in expense of others whom hear the call and came on board to wait for the UFO that never came ? :)
