http://sg.news.yahoo.com/syrias-warring-sides-trade-wheat-flour-080250036.html

Syria (Reuters) - Away from the battlefield, some Syrian rebels are doing business with the same govt they are trying to topple. Both sides 1 2  keep providing basics like bread, fuel and water in the areas control. When shifting front lines split up supply chains, they started to trade.

teeth53 thot - If only it make sense. Syria weak and none visionary leader, is  itself  been drag into proxy war???.

When two great armies met each other, one in Middle East, another marching in from Persian and when two great armies crash each other. They happen to met in Med... sea and at d border where Lebanon is sited. The folk people's live there only get to suffer and get hurt, is into history they are living with...unless Lebanon itself is strong.

The war in the middle east is borne out of many thousands of years of hatred and history. These people have been fighting each other since the time of Christ.

I feel sad that people who share such a rich history together could hate each other so much.

It is now calling up three divisions on a stand just in case as Syria is on high alert, coming week another intensive ground battle but limited to near the borders while it will see more bombs raining down from the sky anyway it seem more and more of this does not effect DOW, that mean situation in Middle East it is under control at this moment.

I read somewhere that the stock market is near its record high despite the conflict. Here are the reasons why.

Israel's 1Q06 GDP grew 6.6%. The business sector GDP growth of 10.6% outpaced even China's as did the industrial sector's 27% annualised growth.

Warren Buffet had chosen to make his first-ever foreign investment - the 3rd largest he has ever made - in an Israeli metalworking company, Iscar. Morgan Stanley also issued a glowing review of the economy. Merrill Lynch raised its economic forecast for the year to 4.5% and Moody's upgraded its rating fom stable to positive.

Israeli companies are also high tech, with many top bio-tech firms there. Did you know that the popular instant messaging software ICQ is developed by an Israeli company?

The outbreak of the Palestinian uprising and the onset of suicide attacks had sent the Israeli economy plummeting in 2000. As security forces gradually gained the upper hand, however, recovery began to set in, particularly after Hamas declared a ceasefire more than a year ago. The level of violence dropped and foreign investment poured in, sending the Israeli stock market to record highs.

With the recent Israeli conflict, the stock market has fallen somewhat.

Forcing Hamas into d back ground, this smaller player will then seek to get what ever attention with what ever they have to throw at d Israelis, so that they can never be neglected, so expect some unexpected new things to happen.
