Seems that Banyan is going up and up.... Is that reasonable? What is the P/E now?
when BT was hoovering around 1.90....I heard some "wise-man" said medium T=2.20 and long T=4.00
not an inducement to buy or sell though! Caveat Emptor! Vested!
What is the current short, mid and long term target for this?

It was granted approval to build a luxury resort in the Chan May-Lang Co economic zone in central Thua Thien Hue province. The US$276.2 million project will include hotels, restaurants, sports facilities and entertainment areas, covering a total 209 ha. Once completed, the deluxe resort will serve a minimum of 100,000 tourists per year.
The Chan May-Lang Co economic zone has so far attracted more than 60 domestic and foreign invested projects worth hundreds of millions of US$.
It said it has signed contracts to manage three hotels in China, marking its expansion into the city hotel market.
It has pledged US$200 million to build an international standard tourism and services complex in central Thua Thien-Hue province's Chan May-Lang Co economic zone (EZ).
A memorandum of understanding to this effect has been signed between representatives of Banyan Tree and Thua Thien-Hue provincial people's committee.
The 200 ha complex will include six resorts and hotels with 2,400 rooms.
Banyan Tree has invested in 60 similar tourism and services complexes in 22 countries.
The Chan May-Lang Co EZ was established in January 2006, covering 27,000 ha. The zone, which is about 70 km from Hue city, boasts a seaport capable of accommodating ships with load capacity 5,000 tonnes or above and one of the country's most beautiful beaches, the Lang Co beach. Lang Co is being considered to be nominated to thelist of the world's most beautiful beaches.
The EZ has lured 61 investment projects, including 23 projects in tourism, with four operational ones . Four others will be carried out in 2007.
Investment projects in Chan May-Lang Co EZ are entitled to preferential treatments in land leasing and taxation, such as an annual tax rate of 10% on business income for 15 years and a 50% reduction in other taxes in the first nine years of operation.
The stock market is being "played" on "Irrational Investors Sentiments". Some good companies (in terms of profits and management) go under, while some other (with damn high PE ratio and unhealthy profits numbers) can soar very high. There must be the Golden Pigs, and the Baby-Sitters ir order for those "manipulators" to be rich. If not, everyone of us here will be millionaires liao.

As with ThaiBev, the imposition of capital controls caused the baht and other Asian currencies to plunge. Funds flow may flee Thailand. Adverse effect on Thailand and Banyan Tree.
While I thought the price of $1.35 is already quite high, it went up another $0.15. It will be interesting to "guess" if it can be still supported at such high level $1.50. The volume has reduced too...
uc2028... you could have re-entered based on the charts if you love this counter. Since you got out at a loss, I assume you must have been watching it's progress on the charts.

Still on uptrend... but may be in its final phase soon
wah... i bought this stock at 0.895 like a few months back.. sold off at 0.885 making a loss...
now its like almost double of what it was when i bought it...
This counter has reached 1.50 today. what pushes it up??
I'm convienced that this counter is hard to trade. It is better to stay long - the IRs will bring in more $$$$ for BanyanT.Cheers!
Yeap, I was thinking the fair value should be around $1.20, despite the recent surge. $1.35 was my 12 month target. I sold off @ $1.35 two week back. Was hesitating this month to buy in again.. Just a bit hesitaton, that's it. It is gone....
wow.. if you trade this counter, imagine how you'd be whipsawed in and out... can be real frustrating.
Nope. Indeed, this morning it fell to $1.23. I thought so long without any action. In the afternoon, it raised to $1.32, and then $1.43 at peak.
It closes $1.36 eventually. I also want to know the reason...Volume not so high though....
