Volatilities are opportunities. Use them wisely and they can be money spinners.
But dun do it on an uptrend stock though. Not only will you miss out on the profits between the gaps by trading in and out, you also pay a hefty brokerage fees in addition. And we heard of people got carried away while happily chasing stock and ended up with a hot potato ...
That said, CMA(after CDL HTrust) is solely missed. I was looking at 2.25 on the IPO day and dithering ... should I or shouldn't I ... din see the MSCI coming.
CDL HTrust ... I watch it grow from .80 to now 1.65. Always in my radar, somehow just din take the 'plunge' ...

ya..a good counter to play contra..in @ 2.4x out @ 2.5x, in @ 2.5x again..just out today @ 2.71..
today hit low 2.6 and shot back to close @ 2.68....
1st wk, it went to a high of $2.39 and they after (2nd wk) it hit a new hi of $2.62 B4 it settled at $2.55. BBs is vested, For those looking for $2 or less, oni another Lehman incident may help.
Just sharing my tot. It needed BBs a third round of more money to push it to it orginal grey of $2.80 and may stretch for amother 2 week or more. Merry X'mas.

My quick estimation is 5-10% profit of $2.12ct, good for a start for one week oni, which is so much better then bank rate. oni for BBs to vest

03 Dec 2009 11:32 CST DJ MARKET TALK: CapitaMalls Asia +3.8%; Joins MSCI Index Dec 10 0332 GMT [Dow Jones] CapitaMalls Asia (JS8.SG) +3.8% at S$2.45 on strong volume of more than 43 million shares, most active on SGX. Share price also at highest level since Nov. 25 debut on delayed reaction to news of stock's inclusion in MSCI Singapore Index. According to Nov. 25 announcement on MSCI Barra website, CMA will be added to index from Dec. 10. Announcement comes 1 month after MSCI's 2009 semi-annual index review, which showed only one Singapore stock, Yangzijiang (BS6.SG), being included in MSCI Singapore Index. "It was announced by MSCI during CMA's listing date but most people only caught it now. It appears to be a last-minute addition," says foreign house analyst. Stock has gained as much as 16.0% since listing, may head higher as index-entry date approaches. Orderbook quotes suggest stock may test S$2.50. (FKH)
