We have 2 DBS Post talking about the same topic, my idea is ... why not we stop this one since this one is very new. We focus on the old post.
Yup, it's a better deal this time...

If i'm not remember wrongly, last year Q2, Div was 17 Cents. Because of Right Issue haven't started.
Base on Calculation per number of share, indeed this year DBS pay higher Div.

DBS DELIVERS STRONGER QUARTER-ON-QUARTER PERFORMANCE WITH
SECOND-QUARTER NET PROFIT OF SGD 552 MILLION
* * *
Performance underpinned by record quarterly revenue and cost discipline
SINGAPORE, 7 August 2009 – DBS Group Holdings recorded net earnings of
SGD 552 million for second quarter 2009, an increase of 21% from the previous quarter.
Sustained revenue growth and cost discipline boosted earnings before allowances to a
record SGD 1.16 billion.
Revenues rose 8% from the previous quarter to a new high of SGD 1.79 billion
as better net interest margins, capital market activities, trading and investment income
resulted in broad-based revenue growth. Expenses were held at SGD 631 million,
improving the cost-income ratio further to 35%, the best level in several years.
Allowances of SGD 466 million were 13% higher than the previous quarter.
Net interest income grew 3% from the previous quarter to SGD 1.11 billion.
Improved credit spreads and reduced funding costs were partially offset by lower returns
on interbank assets, lifting net interest margins by two basis points to 2.01% in a soft
interest rate environment.

See the link http://info.sgx.com/webcoranncatth.nsf/VwAttachments/Att_8442F93085D95C43482576090035A9FC/$file/WilmarCallAnnouncement090805ii.pdf?openelement
Can someone explain what is this?
Hope it this way: If results very good DBS spike to $15.00 and if results not encouraging, the down it will break down its support px of 13.20 to don't know where.
But no problem, DBS has always taken care of shareholders.
Hope bah, these few days mayb BB create painc n made ppl sell cheap to them..............then tmr start will shoot up..........
Even if the results are not stirling, the UOB results just out should be a solid stabilising factor of the market...
After all, UOB is also a giant!...

Good report lah, otherwise it will announce after Market close....
MFT.
