haha...jojo...u got it right....when i kana this quiz, me cracked my brain till the juice came out.this quiz is just like life...sometimes things can be very simple but we often try to think it till so difficult...

Ha ha, AK apology, after d head cracking ex. time to go for lunch break liao.
D catch is that before d bellboy holding d $5 n going into d room to return d money, one $ each to d 3 men.
Actually, d 3 men then are sharing $25. Given them back a dollar each meant total they share $28 instead of $27($10-$1=$9 each x 3), an illusion. Hence bellboy keeping d $2 is telly with d $28 shared among d 3 men.
Ha ha, above was sent by a frd fr over d causeway ds am. Kena shock also.

can not calculate like this lah,
the room price actually is 25 now, so divide by 3, each one is 8.333333. Means each men $8, plus share $1 ($8*3+$1=$25). Then plus the return $1, so each one is $9 plus share $1 ($9*3+$1=$28), Add boorbell boy's $2, total is $30.

3 MEN GO INTO A MOTEL .
THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30,
SO EACH MAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.
A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALISED THE ROOM WAS ON SPECIAL AT ONLY $25, SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY TO RETURN THE $5.
ON THE WAY, THE BELL BOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY
BETWEEN 3 MEN, SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR
HIMSELF.
THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A TOTAL
OF $27, ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.
WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR GONE TO ?

the total paid by three are 27
the total collected by front desk is 25
the difference between total paid and total collected is equal to 2, kept by the bell boy.
so these 2 dollars cannot be added up to 27 lor.. because the 2 is part of the 27...2 plus 25 =27 tally..
haha uncle AK just play around hahaha for fun. |
