Is this company a comeback kid? 2Q13 gross profit 140%+ of 2Q12.
Making touch screen and so on look very cheap and trading range bound
Yup. undervalue stock  brought since 5.5 cent. Alot of cash in the company might as well take it private with all the cash and valuing the profitable company at $0.
Browsing thru Annual Report 2010,  page 25 shows  that the Executive Chairman had increased his direct interest from 10,559,000 shares to 17,714,000 shares (an increase of 67.76%). I think Chairman must be confident of the company's future. Also, on page 31, there were currency translation differences of + US $2.221m.  One possibility to have forex gain is to hold RMB, eg cash & bank balances, to take advantage of the weaken US$ against RMB.
Good Q1 2011's results suggest that the share price is under value! ?
Memtech’s 1Q net profit more than doubles to $3.3m
Mainboard-listed Memtech International, the integrated component solutions provider for the mobile phone, IT equipment and automotive industries, says profit attributable to owners of the company jumped 179.8% to US$2.7 million ($3.3 million) in Q1 2011 for the three months ended March 31, 2011 (1Q 2011) from US$1 million in the previous corresponding period (1Q1 2010).
This was achieved on the back of a 10.4% increase in revenue to US$34.0 million in Q1 2011 from US$30.8 million in Q1 2010. As at March 31, 2011, the group’s cash and cash equivalents remained at US$37.8 million.
With higher inflation, increasing labour costs in China, further depreciation of the US Dollar, and political turmoil in the Middle East, Memtech says the year remains challenging. Nevertheless, it remains cautiously optimistic of its performance in 2011.

In MT's Q1 report, it mentioned that Mar 09 made a profit but the profit could not off set the losses in Jan & Feb, thus Q1 '09 posted a loss. I was thinking that if the trend continues Q2 '09 should be profitable. Regretably, Q2 '09 still in the red. Despite, the company still sent out "gift" to shareholders without knowing whether the "gift" is required by the shareholders. Besides, I don't think the "gift" is cheap. Why should the company spent money at this difficult time?
Any comments ?

Memtech has been "sleeping" for quite a long time. It looks like it is waking up today, with 626 lots traded of which 604 lots changed hand at 9.5 cts per share. At this price, it is value for money vis-a-vis its Q1 09 results as follows:
It sales had improved on a mth to mth basis from Jan to Mar 09 & profitable in Mar, but unable to cover losses in Jan & Feb. As a result EPS = - 0.01 USC. However, its cash & cash equi. = USD 36.557m; NAV per share =15.5 USC (about 22.3 S'pore cts) of which about 7.4 cts (36.557/715.64 x 1.44) are cash & cash equi.
Appreciate views & comments.
