Stratech?s iFerret? Clinches Landmark Deployment in Military Airfield |
Singapore,
30 September 2013 ? Singapore Exchange Mainboard listed Stratech
Systems Limited (" Stratech" ) is pleased to announce that its iFerret?
intelligent  Airfield/Runway Surveillance and Foreign Object
& Debris (FOD) Detection System has been selected for deployment by
one of the world?s top Air Forces. This marks the first time that
iFerret? will be installed in an airbase.
Approved by the US FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), iFerret? is the world?s first  intelligent
Vision-based FOD detection system, providing real-time, automated FOD
detection, location, classification and recording. It can be deployed in
civil airports as well as military airbases, to help prevent potential
aircraft damage and fatalities caused by FOD. In this deployment,
iFerret? will also offer additional features which will be useful for
the airbase operators.
Stratech Executive Chairman, Dr. David
K.M. Chew, commented, ?Airfield safety and security in an Air Force
context is arguably even more critical than in civil aviation. Military
aircraft typically cost millions of dollars to build and due to the way
they operate, they are very susceptible to FOD damage. When we also
consider the fact that many of these aircraft might be carrying large
amounts of explosives during takeoff, the consequences of FOD incidents
in a military airfield can be catastrophic.?
The RADAS (Rapid
Airfield Damage Assessment System) capability is one of the key
additional features of this particular application of iFerret?. With
this additional feature, iFerret? will be able to rapidly detect,
locate, categorise and measure the severity of damages and hazards on
the runways and taxiways. It can even chart the damages resulting from
an enemy attack, in the event one takes place, and provide a detailed
report of the damages very swiftly, which will be useful in the context
of Air Force operations. The iFerret? hardware installed in this
deployment will also be designed to withstand the relatively harsher
working conditions in an airbase.
Being an  intelligent
Vision-based system, iFerret operates with passive sensor technology,
making it much more suitable for airbase deployment than other systems.
iFerret? does not require assisted illumination or produce emissions,
unlike other conventional radar-based systems used for FOD detection.
This is important because the system will not interfere with the other
sophisticated equipment used in Air Force operations, and it also
eliminates the risk of the system exposing the airbase?s location to the
enemy.
?This is a big win for iFerret?. We have now entered
into a previously-untapped market. With this, we have demonstrated that
safety and security is important for everyone, whether you are in a
civil airport or a military airbase. Helping to ensure this safety and
security is what iFerret? does best, and we are very delighted to
receive this endorsement from one of the most advanced and most-watched
Air Forces in the world. These are exciting times for iFerret?. Do watch
this space!? Dr. Chew added.
Subject to accounting treatment
and progress of work and, barring unforeseen circumstances, the Company
estimates that this project may contribute up to $5 million to $6
million to its revenue in the current financial year and if so, would
have a material impact on its financial results. None of the directors
or controlling shareholders of the Company has any interest, direct or
indirect, in the abovementioned matter.  |

MEDIA RELEASE
For immediate release
Stratech?s iFerret TM Receives FAA Approval
Singapore, 25 April 2012 ? Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed Stratech Systems Limited today
announces that the US FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) has published its Performance
Assessment Report on the Company?s iFerret
(Foreign Object & Debris) Detection System.
Dated March 2012, the report states that iFerret
Advisory Circular (?AC?) 150-5220-24
Equipment
foreign objects in airports and provides guidance and specifications for the procurement of airport
FOD detection equipment.
Stratech Executive Chairman, Dr David K.M. Chew, explained: ?In the aviation industry, FAA
accreditation is important. To use an analogy, it is like a pharmaceutical product that has received
FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval, and is now officially licensed for sale.?
The report?s publication is significant because compliance with the AC is mandatory for US
airports acquiring FOD detection equipment through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP)
the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Program. The AIP provides grants to qualifying airports for
improvement projects that enhance airport safety, capacity, security, and environmental concerns.
The latter allows the collection of PFC fees, commonly known as airport tax, to fund approved
projects. Airports are now able to use these funds to offset the cost of installing iFerret?.
Previously, there had been no technology, financing or regulations for automated FOD detection,
and airports relied on the FAA or ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) mandated
daily manual sweeps, which are inadequate and inefficient. Dr Chew pointed out that in recent
years the FAA has begun providing directions on specifications and funding of FOD detection
systems, and these have subsequently been adopted as the de-facto standards by many airports
globally. The accreditation of iFerret? therefore opens up huge opportunities in this rapidlydeveloping
market.
FOD refers to articles or wildlife found on runways, taxiways or aprons that could potentially
cause injuries or damage to aircraft. An example of a fatal incident involving FOD was the Air
France Concorde jet crash in 2000, when 113 lives were lost. FOD also reportedly incurs an
estimated US$4 billion in repair and maintenance costs annually, and up to US$13 billion per year TM intelligent Airfield/Runway Surveillance and FODTM fulfils requirements identified in the FAA1, Airport Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Detection. The AC contains the performance specifications for systems and equipment that detect2 or
In the AC, it is stated that ?use of this AC? is mandatory for all FOD detection equipment acquired through the
Airport Improvement Program (AIP) or the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) Program.?
In this website explaining the AIP, it is stated that ?For large and medium primary hub airports, the grant covers 75
percent of eligible costs? For small primary, reliever, and general aviation airports, the grant covers 95 percent of
eligible costs.? It also mentioned that the grant is provided to ?public-use airports that are included in the
Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) National?, which ?identifies nearly 3,400 existing and proposed airports?.

including associated costs like flight delays and cancellations lost productivity and revenues
potential liabilities and damaged reputations.
Dr Chew added, ?The FAA approval is a major boost towards strengthening iFerret
the international aviation market. This market includes a tremendous number of IATA
(International Air Transport Association) listed airports globally
single market. The iFerret

Many holders waited  8 over months already - still no strong breakout.

Stratech looks like on the verge of a strong breakout.  With its suite of  superior  tech products that  have been  tested and proven over the last few years and its effort to step up  global marketing, we should  start to  see a strong flow of contracts  in 2013.
In addition, it may become a takeover play...

So far they only  invent and pattern safety detection  equipment - IF they can invent a  " OIL and GAS detecting machine  where OIL finders can use them to detetc oil under their ground..or from satellite. Than maybe can go over $1 back if not really tanku ku - first time US Navy approve  its project . Now they hope got more business from other air forces............but air force need high clearance so not so easy to clear projects...........

Should invent a OIL detection or something related to oil rig safety related  tools of equipment then its ssmart - hit  the pocket at the right spot. :)

Bump !!!

Are there people out there that think volume of trades actually translates to value???????????????? what school did they go too? on looking at the trading record and the share price dropping to below the exercise price of the new options to the gang of 5 two days back and it's recovery to .024 on the back of small volume I suspect a related party transaction has or is occurring to keep face with the gang of 5
it is amazing how many shares of poor performing stock you can buy for $30,420!  I hope it will now return me something after the announcment today of this Saudi partnership - however it doesn't say if they got an order or is this it just the 28 units, or how much the revenue will be and over what time so I am now getting a feeling this is just more management spin - I hope not for my sake (selfish sorry) !!!!!!
Buying-In Securities on March 6, 2013- .....
- STXOSV 10,000
- Semb Corp 840

It is really simple: over 100 million in losses since listing, no identifiable real sales of their claimed leading technology and a turn over less than most corner shops. I got out a while ago not sure what the new money guys are thinking - must be good though to rasie this cash to pay for over heads
Lot potential in aviation but i don't know why Stratech shares can't cheong in recent years.
I agree
Don't think fundamentals work well on this counter

For now co say gonna use to fund working capital requirements + will release info on a as & when basis. Limited upside potential bro. Ive already got in & out & am happy wid my kopi money for the day

Technical indicators are a key i believe.....My 2 cents worth
