A sensible guess, since the market, by it's action,  has shown at least some truth of this...

The stock market leads the real economy...
Which means whilst on the 'ground', expectations of devastation is still widespread,
the market would have already risen to lead the way months ahead of the ground... .Smiley

Nevertheless, Mr Darling did mention that recovery likely by end of this year at the earliest.

So, what shall we do? Keep buying equity in the capital market and spending into the main street market to support them?
