I took a walk in the newly renovated hawker centre there last Sat pm. Beverages and foods cheap leh.
Got $2 chicken rice. Beer cost 30 cents cheaper than those sold at other areas.
Didn't see crowd at the budget provision shops below the hawker centre as well.
But could see many stalls closed down and open for leasing. I think they are really hit.
News came out that the business at Chinatown drop by 50%.
I think everyone will just avoid that area now even if there is a review.
Because LTA reviews its rates regularly, it is really difficult to remember the latest pricing. Especially now when there are so many gantries. Maybe I should buy a GPS device to help me plan my route to avoid the ERP gantries!
Yup, you are totally right. :) If there is an ERP, I will avoid the area Mondays to Saturdays. Will not go there and spend money anymore. Better to spend money at the suburban areas or best..... buy stuff online. ahahah.
Gahmen is going to review the ERP rates at the Chinatown area. They will adjust rates if needed.
Frankly, I can't keep track of all the ERP charges and gantries in Singapore. How to remember so many? If there is a gantry, I just avoid it from Monday to Saturday.
