Hi SmartBear, my trading mechanism is not really depending on any indicator actually.  Because indicator is too rigid, esspecially in response to SGX's list.  I had tried 1 hour chart, also can't help a lot.  But knowing indicator is used to know how others will react on particular stock.

Bolinger Band for me is trend and market break indicator.

There are three lines.  If price move in the upper collumn can consider it's uptrend.  Other collumn is downtrend.  If the band is getting narrow, you need to observe the market carefully.  Look at other indicator where it moves.  The trick is, if market is getting narrow, for uptrend, you put your long position on the lowest price in consolidation mode, or can be 5-10% from lowest price.  Do the same for downtrend, means 5-10% from the highest price for short. This was one my technique in use for bollinger.

Bolingger is better be cooperated with RSI and WilliamR in the period of consolidation.  In trending mode, bolingger need to be cooperate with MACD.

Hope you enjoy my recipe ....

no prblem at all, thanks for telling me about how one can have the q track.

elfin, thanks too for your sharing.

however what is BUSD data ?

on a side note: be careful of using queue track/market depth: a lot of the BBs here do fake queues. So it *appears* as tho there's buying/selling pressure, and when they've collected sufficient lots, you'll see the large queues magically *disappear*.

you need to really know your counters well, and have back memory of what's controlled and not controlled; what's fake queue, what's not.

Essentially, we can never win against the BBs, so the key is to id which BB is playing what counter, and follow the biggest one(s). cos sometimes, they do go against each other. You need to follow the biggest one; since it follows in logic that who has deepest pockets wins.

Also, because ultimately, the BBs are human too. And humans always have patterns of behaviour. you learn to recognise their patterns, you can tell who's playing what counter.

Note: the above is for daily/short term trading. BUSD data is what works best then, and live charting.

u got to accumulate $300 in commission ie 12 trades for 1 mth. should nt be much of an issue cos tts abt 1 buy/sell trade in 2 days. after tt u will be able to access the market depth and queue track over at the site. u need to be able to access the page in the first place to see.

sorry for me answering ur qns if u only want tech to ans it. anyway nt sure if i ans ur qns correctly. if u meant how to interprete the queue track, i think its reasonably easy to understand. study 1 counter and see how the orders work. yup

Try SaxoBank .... I'm Saxo Supporter. Smiley

You can try another platform from CMC Market, but my opinion is Saxo has the most powerful proprietary trading platform.

Overbought and oversold indicators don't mean much by themselves. This is because a counter can stay overbought/oversold for a period of time.

You have to use other charts like the MA, Acc/Dist etc... to determine price trend.

The best time to buy is when a counter was recently oversold and the price trend is moving up. Vice versa is true for selling.

Hi taybc1071,only the broker can see the number of shares queueing for each price. I am not sure if you subscrbe to POEM PRO, can you see that too. Can anyone advice??? For those who trade through internet, you will notice that every transaction done, you can see an double digits to indicate which broking house sell/buy to/from you. Personally, i found this information valuable. It gives you the info who are the buyers and sellers. Avoid going against the big boy - Fund Manager from UBS, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citicorp and many others.

For the code, you can get it from your broker. They have a list of the broking house with the code.

I hope i have answer your question.

Cheers

Hi Hippo1, you mean you are able to know the all the respective price queue? I understand that dealer can see all the queue on his system. Is there any way we can identify the name of the buyer or seller from their code? tks

Remember 1 bad new is good enough to overthrow 10 good news in the stocks market.

Look at the AUSGROUP, the price has dropped more than 25% due to profit warning.

Beside, armed with all the essential tools - charting, you need to keep abreast with all the available information.

Stock market is something like BIG FISH EAT SMALL FISH. If you are not careful, you can get burnt easily.

I always use the buyer and seller method to judge whatever i have enter correctly. For example, if the fund (UBS, Morgan, and etc) are selling to me, if the price drop more than 5%, i will cut costs and vice versa. This information can be determine by users who trade through internet - poems. The seller and buyer code is indicated upon transaction done. This tool helps you to determine who are the buyers and sellers and you can acess yourself carefully. My experience tells me that NEVER goes against the big players.
