That Synear?s FY07 net profit of RMB476mn was below our forecast (which was a
consensus low) is not as much of a surprise as the gross profit being almost in line.
This means the company?s pricing power to input costs has come in pretty much as
expected, but that other costs have disappointed. Selling costs have run ahead of
expectation and a tax bill was a surprise. With pork costs likely to peak in 1Q08F,
we believe the worst could be over for Synear.

SYNEAR had dropped some 26% in one day. If we calculate the drop from 1.23 last week peak, this counter had dropped about 50¢ (about 40%). So I am gonna give it a miss tomorrow.

I think upcoming first quarter result is going to be bad because of the recent snow storm in late january and february... further weighing the stock down.Unsold dumplings with expiry date will cause further losses.
