Federal International may be poised for further upside, says OCBC Investment Research technical analyst Ritesh Menon. Notes stock has staged price breakout of wedge pattern, strong volumes suggests it could head higher. Adds MACD has cut upwards, indicating underlying sentiment has turned bullish in the near-term. Says stock will need to clear resistance at 23.6% Fibonacci level of S$0.50 before it heads higher to test resistance at S$0.56-S$0.60, which sits near 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level, says this level is also near to 200-day moving average, so resistance there could be fairly strong. Share flat at S$0.455 at midday

i guess, i got to queue long long time to sell my mine.
it means ppl are throwing (distributing) away their shares...looking at the charts...the past half a month (Apr)...its declining...but in stocks market...what we are looking is the past historical charts...dun look good at the moment still...probably be nice if it could accumulate slowly back up...well frm my personal observation for this week, it seems that there's quite some buying...example yesterday's buy queue...whenever got a sell down...the buy queue reinstate itself soon after...probably accumulation? well just a possibility...cos in today's market...very hard to predict

Federal expands into coal mining business in Indonesia
- Alton International Resources (?AIR?), a 51%-owned subsidiary of Alton International (S) Pte Ltd in negotiations to operate coal mines in Indonesia
- AIR expects to achieve annual revenue of S$15 million from its coal mining business
Singapore, 14 February 2008 -- Mainboard-listed Federal International (2000) Ltd (?Federal International? or the ?Company?) has today announced that the Group has ventured into the coal mining business in Indonesia through Alton International Resources Pte Ltd (?AIR?), a company which is 51%-owned by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alton International (S) Pte Ltd.
The balance shareholding of AIR is owned by two individuals ? Lim Lee Leng and Gary Ng who each has a 24.5% stake in the company.
Under Indonesian law, foreign companies can only participate as mine operators. Through its network in Indonesia, AIR is currently in discussion with owners of the local mine concessions for at least three mines which are in the production stage. These agreements will enable AIR to be the mine operators and exclusive marketeer of the end products.
Mr K K Koh, Executive Chairman and CEO of Federal, commented, ?Given the fact that coal prices have increased tremendously and by as much as 20% last year, our move into the coal mining arena is strategic and timely. AIR is a resources company which is poised to tap opportunities, especially in the energy and commodities sector.?

Take analyst calls with a pinch of salt.
Sometimes the price of the stock has already "factored in" all the analysts' findings already.
Brother Tiong Woon and Rotary are up 3.5cents, this brother down by 1cent..
