Apologies, rate was cut to 4.5%, but saw the info that was posted earlier as 4.25% from this site: http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php.

Take note, the Fed rate was NOT CUT. It remained at 4.5%

Be very careful for STI. If you look at DJIA reaction, it just PLUNGED from 13850 to 13780 at one go.
