Just wondering, does the counters still pay out good dividends from their strong business even if their share prices drop by lot?

Hi Geneva88,
Thanks. But even if the market is in volatile, as long as i dont sell the shares in Singtel, i wont be making losses right?
I believe in exspecially in volatile times, Singtel share prices will definately hit $5 or more as ppl will start to park their money in some counters which are very stable and potential room to grow such as Singtel.
Correct me if i am wrong, thanks~!

Go SGX website to check if got dividend or not.
Now market very volatile be careful as dividend might not be enough to make up for losses
Normally when willl they give out the dividends for Singtel?
Looks good to hold in this counter

SingTel says it expects stronger revenue contributions from its operations in Singapore and Australia. Its HY 2007 revenue rose 10.7% to S$7.26 bln thanks to strong contributions from its business in Singapore and Australia. Net profit added 6.6% to S$1.9 bln due to the stronger Australian Dollar. Operating cash flow amounted to S$1.6 bln as compared to S$2.23 bln last year. The business will be paying a dividend of 5.6 cents per share as compared to the 3.69 cents per share it paid last year.
Hi,
Do every company provide dividends? If not all provide, how can we check if that company provide before i can invest in it?
Thinking of earning dividends while studying about the stock markets. (rather than park our money in the bank...)
Thanks~!

Hi, can any kind soul please advise on how do we know when will we get Dividends from each company? Thanks a million~!!
