ADDVALUE TECHNOLOGIES AND ITS EUROPEAN MASTER DISTRIBUTOR,

SATLINK S.L., EXPAND BUSINESS COLLABORATION TO THE MARITIME

MARKET

--- Addvalue and Satlink entered into MoU valued at S$4.8 million for the design

and supply of FleetBroadband 250 (FB 250) BGAN Maritime terminals

Singapore (October 3, 2007) ? Addvalue Communications Pte Ltd, a whollyowned

subsidiary of SGX mainboard-listed Addvalue Technologies Ltd (?Addvalue?)

has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (?MoU?) with its European Master

Distributor, Satlink S.L. (?Satlink?), for the design and supply for FB 250 BGAN

Maritime terminals valued at S$4.8 million. The MoU is subject to an agreement to be

formalized, and appropriate announcement will be made accordingly.

The FleetBroadband (FB) is the first maritime communications service to

provide cost effective broadband data and voice simultaneously through a compact

antenna on a global basis using the Inmarsat-4 satellite. With the successful launch

of the third Inmarsat-4 satellite, FB will provide seamless ocean coverage from 76

degree North to 76 degree South. The FB 250 BGAN maritime terminals will support

the latest IP services as well as the traditional circuit switched voice and data

services. The applications include email, webmail, real-time electronic chart, weather

update, secure communications, large files transfer, remote company intranet and

internet access, crew communications, SMS and instant messaging, video

conferencing, vessel telemetry, store and forward video etc.

Satlink has been appointed as Addvalue?s European Master Distributor in

November 2006 and since then, both parties have established a strong and trusting

relationship. Firmly believe in the tremendous potential of the maritime market, the

parties forged the collaboration.

Satlink, with more than 15 years of experience, is one of the major companies

in the mobile satellite telecommunications market in Europe. It caters to the

addressable market of satellite telecommunications systems, such as maritime, land

mobile and aeronautical, by offering tailored, well-designed solutions.

Commenting on the MoU, Mr Luis, General Manager of Satlink, remarked,

?Since the launched of the FB maritime service by Inmarsat, we believe that there is

good business potential in this market segment. We have full confidence that

Addvalue will be able to develop a cost effective and reliable maritime terminal for us

to enter the market in 2008. The strategic partnership with Addvalue to develope a

maritime BGAN is a significant deal for Satlink to increase sales and to further

strengthen our market position around the world.?

Dr Colin Chan, Chairman and CEO, of Addvalue added, ?This MoU with

Satlink represents a great opportunity for Addvalue to tap the maritime market and

expand our BGAN product offering. We intend to leverage on our partnership with

About Inmarsat

Inmarsat is the pioneer of global mobile satellite communications. It came into being

as an inter-governmental organization in 1979 to provide global safety and other

communications for the maritime community. Starting with a customer base of 900

ships in the early 1980s, it then grew rapidly to offer similar services to other users on

land and in the air, until in 1999 it became the first IGO to be transformed into a

private company. It now supports links for phone, fax and data communications to

more than 287,000 ship, vehicle, aircraft and other mobile users. The Inmarsat

business strategy is to pursue a range of new data opportunities at the convergence

of information technology, telecoms and mobility, while continuing to serve traditional

maritime, aeronautical, land-mobile and remote-area markets. Inmarsat is listed on

About BGAN

Inmarsat's Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) is a mobile communications

service offered by Innmarsat?s latest generation satellite, Inmarsat-4 (I-4) . Two I-4s

were launched in 2005 and the third I-4 satellite is targeted to launch in 2008. The I-

4s have set a new benchmark for mobile satellite communications in terms of their

power, capacity and flexibility.. The two in-orbit I-4s provide coverage of 85 per cent

of the world?s landmass and around 98 per cent of the world?s population. Once the

third I-4 satellite is launced over the Pacific Ocean Region, In it will deliver complete

mobile broadband coverage of the planet, except the extreme polar regions. Each I-4

satellite generates hundreds of high power spot beams, which can be re-directed in

real-time so that network capacity is available in areas of high service demand. I-4

traffic is mostly carried as Internet Protocol (IP) packet-switched data. This extends

Inmarsat?s network?s ability to provide enhanced digital mobile communications. It

also supports traditional circuit-switched services, such as voice and ISDN,

supporting legacy back-office systems, while providing a clear migration path to IP.
