Fed cut discount rate means banking borrowing rate by 0.5% and not normal interest rate.
I think still too early to celebrate yet.
Be careful of bear trap.
I will wait patiently for confirmation of trend reversal before buying.
so francisd yesterday i was watching CNBC everybody, seemed very happy like as though all the problems were put to an end, cos FED cut rate etc etc, correct me if i am wrong. So what you say this is not a so called happy ending to the problem, more coming may be good news or may be bad in the future.Once again correct me if am wrong. thanks
Hope all this is temperory. If you have making some money, better take and run. Those who are losing little, better take the loss. Those who are losing a lot of money, and don't feel like selling now, hold, if you dont' want the money now. This is my advice to those in the market. There is more S___T to come. It is scary. So stay away for a while, till they stablise. Those who have deep pockets and what to take risk, go for it. I have go out more than 50% of my portfolio, (loss of profits) before I make a complete loss. We are small retail investors, cannot afford to lose money to the fund managers and the BBs. So take care and happy investing. Cheers.
well...this could jolly be a BEAR trap...take time to buildup strength to reach BULL state...the reverse is also true...BEAR dun visit juz for 1 wk or so hor...

In my opinions, i think the move by Fed is a "temporary" solution to a even bigger "bubble".. I might be wrong and i really hope that what i am contemplating now won't come true at all.. Or else casket companies can IPOed and surges 1000% on 1st day of debut (choi, touch wood)..
The move by Fed was definitely a confidence builder, though that doesn't mean that everything is going to be safe or positive going forward.
Many uncertainties still in the market and things have gotta be worked out. I hope the DOW inch up slowly...a big climb up may well prove to be unstable and thus the sudden plunges on the certain days of the week. We may see this still in the coming weeks.
Looks like next week is up, up and away for all market.
bank stocks showing signs of moving up after analysts call for buy in view of fundamental...may be a good choice to buy with cpf monies...after all, don't get to see the money until retirement.
the problem now is at what price to enter...
today's Straits Times Money Section have quite a good boost that market will rebound and the usual saying that this period of selling is crazy
