The stock market ia analogous to the river.
Spring-beginning of a bull market
Stream-upward wave 1(blue chips move)
River-waves 2 and 3 (blue chips and mid caps move)
Mighty river-wave 5-almost vertical ascent (blue chips and mid cap and small caps move)
Rapids-high volatility but generally up(every stock even those without earnings or worse still on the verge of liquidation moves)
Waterfall-what we are experiencing in the last week or so.
Anyone care to comment on a better analogy?
