SimSiangChoon, Poh Tiong Choon, LeeMetal and so many others are family owned business go IPO. They are enjoying a good run in the share market as more investors come to realize these small little outfits are not so bad compared to their bigger competitors. Their market cap maybe small but being small means nimble and able to react fast enuff to any adverse situations facing the company.
Having said that the down side to these family owned business is their top management are closely guarded by their own family related members. Does this mean they may collude to input false figures to their financials to make them look good?
I believe the founder of those companies are straight honest loyalty businessmen but we cannot say for their later generations as more monies come in greed take over and someday scandal may come out? Too family owned business reminds me of those HK drama serial consequences :P
Hi so can still buy as you mention right? Got any target price?
Hi Victorian, notice you particularly fond of tight float stocks which have strong family controls. Any particular reasons? Better management? Thks for your very detailed analysis which I learnt a lot.
